davidmjj
Hello everyone. I bought a new Asus laptop a week ago and I'm trying to make it work with Hackintosh. I have almost everything working but the audio is causing me alot of problems. My Audio card is a Realtek HDA 660. I've been looking through the forum for possible drivers but I couldn't find anything to make it work (I've been searching for more than 3 days...) Taruga is not working with me neither Azalia... I dont know if it's because I did something wrong on the installation or what... The farther I've got is to be able to see the volume meter but not sound at all... >.< now I have Azalia installed and this is what I can see on the system properties: Intel High Definition Audio: Device ID: 0x10431783 Audio ID: 12 Available Devices: Speaker: Connection: 1/8 inch Jack Microphone: Connection: 1/8 inch Jack S/P-DIF Out: Connection: Internal Again, I can see the volume meter but I cant play any sound... I'll really appreciate any help in here... I've been working for more than 5 days on this laptop non-stop to make it work and I really don't want to fail at the end... >.< Thanks in advance to everyone. Guiik
Hello. Yes, I had that same problem, though it was on an asus f3sv, but still alc660. I just added AppleHDA.kext to the extensions folder. Simple and easy. Now everything is working but digital input. If that doesn't work try the Alc660 beta .kext though it didn't work for me. I've attached both of these, but I don't know if it's the newest ones and try the appleHDA.kext first since the other one is a beta. Good luck EDIT: It seems that at the moment I can't attach anything (due to server error?) but try to search the forum or google. It shouldn't be to hard. If those worked with your ALC660, I want to use exactly your files. Thank you very much for your attention. Ps: If the forum is still giving you problems to attach the files, can you please send them to me by email? en_la_parra@msn.com Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/117739-asus-m51sn/#findComment-839554 Share on other sites
