Another user posted a similar issue in another thread, but thought I'd start a thread here to see if anyone has any guidance, input, etc?

 

My config is in my sig line below...

 

My son has a nearly identical system but running 10.5.2 and he is not experiencing any problems. When I Google it turns out that a number of real Mac users (including me, on my MacBook Pro) are having the same issue...however, I'm less concerned getting this running on my MBP than on my Hackintosh for obvious (graphics) reasons.

 

Just to be clear -- I own 2 full copies of this game so there is "cd-key" issues.

 

I can post more, but basically what's happening is the app never starts...it just crashes on launch. Everything else -- and I literally mean everything that I've tried -- works fine on my system so this is a stumper?

 

Can anyone help this mystery (I've ruled out the video card...I have a 2600 and 1600 ATI and same thing happens).

For those who are interested, it's 10.5.4. I installed 10.5.2 on a USB drive and this program works no problem.

 

Is there a way to use 10.5.2 kernel in a 10.5.4 system?
