i*C
Hey everybody, i just have figured out how to make Realtec 8187b work on Leopard 10.5. I know that there are a lot of methods on how to make it work, but in my case none of those did. Yesterday i accidentally figured out a way to fix the issue, at least for my Toshiba Satellite. Now, i have used Leo4allv3 installation method on my laptop WITHOUT selecting 'Realtec8187b' option at install screen - just to clerify. Here is what i have done to make it work... 1. Install rtl8187b drive from the Drivers folder. Restart if needed. (i have included a download link) 2. Go to 'system/library/extensions folder and find rtl8187.kext' 3. Open it with TextMate or something (I used TextMate) 4. In the plist, find this line: <integer/>33161</integer> and change numbers to 33175 (In TextMte choose File-->Save-->Close) After i have saved everything, i have installed Kelyway 10.5.3 comboupdate (dont restart, leave the windows open) and installed 10.5.3 kernel NOT SELECTING any options (options like vanilla kernel etc). Then i came back to 10.5.3 window and restarted my laptop. After it booted, Reltec utility showed up and i was able to connect to the internet and save the Network profile so that it connects to the network automaticly each time. Here is the link to the Realtec8187b i used: http://www.mediafire.com/?0y3l0ullyg1 Please Note: After installing 10.5.3 and 10.5.4 my battery icon disappeared. To fix that download this file: http://www.mediafire.com/?m1zmbn4e2n4 It has worked for me, Toshiba Satelite A205-S5804 (See my sig) Now i have 100% working hackintosh!!! Hope this helps.
