-CEOS-
install chud.pkg from XCode Developer Pack (http://developer.apple.com/tools/xcode/), restart. (you need an apple account) than install shoutdown fix (http://forum.insanelymac.com/index.php?showtopic=76404), restart. now shut down should work ! wildchild
I have tried everything and nothing seems to work. I've tried with and without CHUD and get nothing. I've tried booting into safe mode, installing and rebooting and I get nothing. I understand the problem is the NVinject driver. Is there any other driver I can use instead? Keep in mind I have everything updated to 10.5.4. Thanks guys for any help you can provide. frefrefrer
instead of using any driver try using another distro Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/116957-shut-down-1054-help-with-q6600p5b/#findComment-860057 Share on other sites
Firechild
I used CPU palette to manually disable all but 1 core before shutting down. Worked. When I changed kernel from modbin 9.4.0 to StageXNU 9.4.0 kernel shut down works without workarounds for me. I have p5K and Q6600. wildchild
I fixed it! Basically, I just installed NVKush drivers instead of the NVinject ones. Q/E and C/I both work. I haveb't noticed any other problems yet with the drivers. But I can reboot and shutdown no problem! Huzzah!
