Hi,

I installed Mac OS X 10.4.3 on my laptop Acer Ferrari 3200 LMi. Everything went fine although some small issues.

First the graphics card is a Mobility Radeon 9700 but recognised as a 9600. The maximum resolution is 1400x1050 but Mac OS only runs in 1024x768. I found a procedure on this forum to get it to a higer resolution which I will test. How can I enter boot parameters for an installed system as the bootloader doesn't wait for input like it does when you boot from the DVD ?

Second thing is Bluetooth. It's a broadcom chipset, it is support, bluetooth can be activated, my cell phone finds the laptop but the bluetooth always stops working after 30 seconds. I need to restart the bluetooth service to get it back up for another 30 sec.

Last thing, the soundcard. It's an AC97 Realtec soundchip. Works fine, but I had to put the frequency to 48000Hz to get correct sound. But it only plays through the left speaker. OK, I have sound but for music it kinda strange with only one channel.

Also the broadcom Extreme Gigabit lan doesn't work. It's not even recognised. I have an Intel PCMCIA card but no PCMCIA devices are working, seems that the pcmcia controller doesn't exist for OS X.

Any idea how I can fix the sound issue (stereo sound instead of mono), the bootparameter and the broadcom network ?

The rest of the laptop works fine, even the 5 in 1 card reader.

For editing boot parameters edit ur boot.plist and add Timeout 8. For details http://wiki.osx86project.org/wiki/index.php/Tips_And_Tricks.

For bluetooth i use a billionton dongle, which works perfect.

AC97 search around. Its a very widely discussed topic. Mine worked out of the box. Also goto to the wiki and check the HCL's (Hardware Compatibility Lists)
