Badthe23
Hi folks, i just finished installing Mac Osx Tiger 10.4.5 to my Dell Inspiron 8600 Notebook. Everything works fine, ecept the Graphics Card. I have a Mobility Radeon 9600 (0*4e50) but Mac only detects a VESA 2.0 Card. Is there any solution that makes my card fully functional? If no, will there ever be? My screen has a maximum resolution of 1920*1200 ( ) and i wanted to ask if Tiger supports such high resolutions, because the max resolution Tiger acceptet was 1280*1024. But that sucks. Sorry for my bad english, i'm German Greets, Patrick Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11615-maximum-resolution/ Share on other sites
Badthe23
Now i achieved a resolution of 1600*1200*32 but this is the maximum. I have another problem. Sometimes artefacts appear on the screen. Is it possible to turn that off. Somebody held me? Now i have an aspect ratio of 4:3 on a 15,4 widescreen display. Even if i cannot go to 1920*1200, is there a prog or something where you can adjust the display? Thx for your help! MacApprentice
Anything but Intel GMA900/950 cards aren't well supported, so no you can't get that res with your ATI card. Artefacts are a caused by a bug in the hacked ATI driver so you can't get ride of it (in fact you can but with a drawback : no more video acceleration) Just remember you are using a hacked OS and not everything work smoothly (yet) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11615-maximum-resolution/#findComment-73817 Share on other sites
