TokinDerrick
alright, so I want to do the security update, but I don't know exactly where to enter the "-s" to enter single user mode. I'd also like to turn off verbose (where it shows all the commands during boot) I've heard it was "-v" but I don't know where to type that either. any help here? oh, and the links to the patches on *his* konglish site aren't working. is this on any torrent sites? Eskurza
to log in as Single user mode, Press F8 right before the darwin bootloader.. you have to be really fast. then type -s... Eskurza
you have to edit your com.apple.boot.plist to turn the verbose -v option off. search for it.. it has been mentioned before Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11605-single-user-mode/#findComment-72792 Share on other sites
TokinDerrick
alright, which folder is it located in (I searched spotlight and found one, and I just erased the <string>-v</string> part and tried to resave it, but it said it was read-only. TokinDerrick
alright, nevermind, so I found it, dragged it ot my desktop, altered it, (just removing the -v because if I removed the <string> parts I got an error, but it would still start up) now I just need to know where I can get the maxxuss patch for the update. TokinDerrick
alright, i found a patch on a torrent search engine that did it by itself apparently. but since then, I've had problems to where my net suddenly drops off from time to time.
