sheeplover
Beloved Community Today I opened my sharing preferences because I wanted to open an ftp-share for a friend. Its behaviour was strange - everytime I clicked on an item it froze the system for about 10 seconds. Best of all: AFP didn't work. I can see my Hack from my other Macs, I can ping it, it shares websites and I can open an ftp-connect to it - but no afp or smb connection. The console tells me: 14.07.08 11:16:06 com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.nmbd[220]) Exited: Terminated 14.07.08 11:16:06 com.apple.launchd[1] (org.samba.nmbd) Throttling respawn: Will start in 10 seconds and the samba-log says [2008/07/14 11:16:16, 0] /SourceCache/samba/samba-187.5/samba/source/nmbd/nmbd.c:main(695) Netbios nameserver version 3.0.25b-apple started. Copyright Andrew Tridgell and the Samba Team 1992-2007 [2008/07/14 11:20:31, 0, pid=221] /SourceCache/samba/samba-187.5/samba/source/nmbd/nmbd.c:terminate(52) Got SIGTERM: going down... I repaired rights, restarted - but nothing changed. I use the onboard nic with efi-string combined with the RTL1000.kext for AFP/Bonjour - removing the kext disables Bonjour - nothing else. now - what should I do? Any clue on this issue? Anyone? Thanks in advance sheep
