I installed 10.4.5 on this laptop:

 

Targa Visionary 811

 

Processor: Mobile AMD® Athlon® 64 2800+

 

 

RAM: 768 MB DDR-RAM recognized as 1.25GB WTF?? my 512MB is 1GB nowAnybody ideas ??

 

 

Graphics: ATI® Mobility® Radeon® 9700 - 128 MB DDR-RAM vesa 2.0 1024x768

 

Audio: AC 97 compatible WORKING

 

VIA 4 x USB 2.0 NOT WORKING

 

VIA 1x Firewire (IEEE 1394) WORKING

 

Modem not working screw this who is usig modem this days

 

VIA LAN Not Working

 

PCMCIA NOT TESTED

 

Wireless LAN IEEE 802.11g/b RT2500 based NOT TESTED YET cause no usb and no lan cant get drivers on laptop need to burn cd for 368 kB file

 

Touchpad works

 

So the Mac Os is going to be trashed cause LAN and USB but maybe anybody has idea how can I solve this problems ??

 

BTW: anybody know how can i get 1280x800 resolution

 

System profiler acts strange it says no audio while audio is avilable and same with USB i can see USB in profiler but no hardwere is recognized: usb mouse and some usb sticks same situation with LAN

I think install DVD was patched badly

OKay! I have a the same one, or better i HAD!

 

I have installed 10.4.1 and working a long while ago and also very very shortly tried 10.4.3

 

Network you can forget! The VIA Rhine II is not support at all! The Wireless works with the RTA2500PCI driver here in the forum. The sound works only mono (left side bug - search the forum). While my short test with 10.4.3 I got QE & CI, so good luck, but I wasn't able to change the screen resulution to the natice 1280x800.

 

Your USB problems are strange! I had full USB support in 10.4.1. Well, I had a cheap USB-Hub connected the cause Mac OSX to crash, but otherwise I had a USB2.0 harddrive with full speed!!!!
