rsilves
Hi. I want to update my Hackintosh (Kalyway 10.5.2) to 10.5.4. Do I need to update to 10.5.3 and then 10.5.4 or I can jump 10.5.3? Thanks, Rodrigo Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114697-1052-to-1054/ Share on other sites
kytzu
with 10.5.4 combo update you can jump from 10.5.2 to 10.5.4 but I didn't test it. I did 10.5.2 to 10.5.3 using kalyway combo update then from software update from 10.5.3 to 10.5.4 and no side effects (I use vanilla kernel and chameleon) Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114697-1052-to-1054/#findComment-812258 Share on other sites

dahak777
im having a small issue trying to update to 10.5.4, i have read that people have been able to update the kalyway to .5.4 with no problems, but Im having issues. this is with the apple 10.5.4 combo update from apple.com Every time i go to install it it causes a kernel panic when installing always at the point of installing time machine portion of the update. (can tell by watching the log during the install this is installed with the vanilla kernel. everything else works fine, but cant update Any ideas? ... im about to try updating using kalyway's update to 10.5.3 then to 5.4 Update... Ok I got it working, did the update using Kalyway's update to .5.3 and the software update to 5.4 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/114697-1052-to-1054/#findComment-816263 Share on other sites
