chaseincats
3 questions 1. does intel proset wireless work on osx86? 2. how do you know if your running osx86 native (i installed with the prepatched dvd everyone loves so that would be considered native yes?) 3. is their some sort of mac device manager so i can tell which devices are having problems and which are running fine? Ouch
The term native referes to running OS X directly on "real" hardware as opposed to virtual hardware or emulation software (like vmware, pearpc, virtualpc etc). There is no such thing as a device manager per say - there is a system profiler which can be accessed from the about this mac option in the apple menu at the top left of the screen it will give you details of hardware that is detected. I don't know about the proset question. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11459-intel-prosetnative-verifacation/#findComment-71952 Share on other sites
Freibiergesicht
there is no such hardware as "intel pro set" wireless, that's the name of the windows configuration program. assuming you have a centrino 2100BG/2200BG, until now no support in OS X.
