dooododoo
How do you get a Marvell 1116 Gigabit Ethernet working? Mine is integrated into the motherboard. I am running Kalyway 10.5.2. I have a Gigabyte GA-M55 plus-S3G (rev. 3.0) (link). It has nForce 430. Is it as simple as editing a kext file? In that case, which kext do you edit the Device and Vendor ID? Or do I have to d/l a particular kext and load that? Or is the LAN supposed to work out of the box with Kalyway 10.5.2 release? Is this LAN card possible on leopard? My Device ID is 0269 and Vendor ID is 10DE. I've searched everywhere on this site and tried editing many kexts. I'm posting here as a last resort to get this headache resolved. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113137-cant-get-marvell-1116-ethernet-to-work-on-gigabyte-ga-m55-plus-s3g-rev-30/ Share on other sites
dooododoo
UPDATE: nforcethernetdriver.kext works! it was meant for marvell 88e1116, but it works for my marvell 1116. kernel panic arises with heavy bandwidth usage (d/l large files, viewing flash sites, etc). booting with cpu=1 fixes problem. 1 Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/113137-cant-get-marvell-1116-ethernet-to-work-on-gigabyte-ga-m55-plus-s3g-rev-30/#findComment-802769 Share on other sites
