maq
I updated from 10.4.3 to 10.4.5 recently and my trackpad is acting up. It's very jumpy and jerks the cursor to the right whenever I try to move it. It's nearly impossible to use. I tried a patched .kext from 10.4.3 but that didn't work at all. Anyone had a similar problem or know of a possible solution? Thanks. Blackice
It also doesn't like clicking by tapping the pad. The system logs an error with ApplePS2Controller.kext Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11210-trackpad-in-1045/#findComment-70165 Share on other sites
maq
I experimented with older drivers and ended up with no mouse/kb and having to do a hard shutdown. I needed to do a fsck, but hpfsck wouldn't work, etc etc. Long story short the fastest/easiest fix was to format/reinstall, and now the trackpad magically works fine. I still can't use usb though, so that's my next project. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/11210-trackpad-in-1045/#findComment-70261 Share on other sites
