I am running the Kalyway 10.5.2 dualboot with vista using the darwin bootloader. Both Vista and Leopard seems to be working just fine. My question is, should I install EFI? Also, would I have to reinstall leopard and/or vista if i did install EFI?

Current setup:

Kalyway 10.5.2 Sleep Kernel

Dell Inspiron 1525,

1 GB RAM,

Intel GMA 965 (using modified GMAX3100 kexts with sleep trick to get laptop lac to work),

Sound card: Intel HDA/Sigmatel STAC9228 (working)

WiFi working,

nysticus's usb mount fix 1.3

Installing EFI is strongly recommended to get the best compatibility, and to get it as close to a real OS X install as possible. I suggest you install Chameleon rather than PC_EFI because Chameleon includes a modded fdisk that won't screw your Vista install when you use it.

thanks a lot! installed EFI now :censored2: so, erm, should I use the Vanilla kernel? or can i still use my Sleep Kernel which i installed from Kalyway 10.5.2?

Edit: Ok, I rebooted again... it takes about 15 seconds more to finish booting up now... also, i seem to have lost the ability to tap-click on my trackpad... sound works fine... but the laptop lcd is only activated if i have an external monitor plugged in at boot and do the sleep trick :S

help?
