UltimateEdition
Alright this may be more of a Windows question than a mac question, but the problem occured as a result of my installing Leopard. So, I had my computer dual booting XP and Vista perfectly (I installed XP after Vista and used VistaBootPro to fix the kernels? or whatever, it worked). I then installed Leopard (so I had 3 OS's on 3 partitions on the same drive) which must have messed with the registry so then only Leopard started. It worked, but since it didn't detect my internet connection there was no way for me to find a fix so I reinstalled XP (dumb idea in retrospect) and for some reason in XP only its own drive shows up in my computer. Neither Vista's partition nor Leopard shows up. The biggest problem with this is no program works to reinstall the kernels for the OS's because my computer won't detect their partitions. When I start up my computer it does give me the option to run in any of the 3 OS's, but when I click Leopard it says something like "HFS+ Partition Error" and when I click Vista it says it cannot run because some kernel file isn't installed. As I said, no booting program run from XP works. PartitionMagic, BCD registry, VistaBootPro, Acronis DiskManager, etc. don't detect the hard drives and I have no floppy drive to run them from. All I have is a DVD drive and a flash drive. I know I made a bunch of stupid mistakes and I'm afraid I am quite confused by this boot/registry stuff so please if anyone has some sort of solution for me to be able to boot from all 3 partitions please post. Thanks. Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/111144-cant-see-my-partitions/ Share on other sites
