dxbydt
Here is a screen shot of my bootup I've tried swapping out older AppleACPIPlatform.kext files I've added my vend/id to the ioatafamily.kext and still no luck. Does anybody have any new ideas of things I could try? I just can't get it to see my hard drive. And yet I can boot from the 10.5.2 dvd fine. My previous 10.5.2 installation worked fine. I have a pentium d processor using the modbin kernel.
KiTzBiTz
restore old AppleACPIPlatform.kext that you swapped away..from MAC Drive..then type -f at Darwin Bootloader.
mulletman13
I assume you're using a SATA drive? Try changing the SATA config in your BIOS to 'Compatibility / ATA' from 'AHCI'. You won't get the AHCI benefits, but it will boot up fine. If the above post doesn't work then this is your only option
SticMAC™
You should load your older AppleAHCIPort.kext which holds the device ID for your controller You can do like Mulletman13 says:" Try changing the SATA config in your BIOS to 'Compatibility / ATA' from 'AHCI'. You won't get the AHCI benefits, but it will boot up fine" Then load your file and reboot then change the BIOS again and it should work!
