cromas
I've been fighting all day trying to get 10.4.5 installed and booted on my ThinkPad X41 Tablet. About 3am, I finally got everything working and updated, and things were looking great. I turned off the computer, undocked it from the docking station, and proceeded to take a bootup video to showcase my accomplishment. And then it crashed. So I rebooted, and it crashed again. And again. Safe mode didn't help. Neither did booting to XP and restarting into OSX. If I dock the computer, it boots just fine, but it dies if I try and boot undocked. I am using the 10.4.4 kernel with the following patches: base, SSE, VMWare. Attached are a couple of camerashots of the two panics. Sorry they are blurry, I did my best. They are both EIP 0x0019A782. I believe the clearer one is from a cold boot w/safe mode verbose, the more blurry one is from a warm boot (i.e. rebooted from XP) with only verbose. In the more verbose picture, the error ends referencing com.apple.driver.AppleIntelIntegratedFrameBuffer(4.2.4). In the less verbose one, it simply says "invalid frame pointer." Possibly something going on with the display driver? Anyone have any ideas?
