misterwayne Posted June 11, 2008 Share Posted June 11, 2008 hi all, i installed OSX (iATKOS v2 image) now .. but after the installer rebooted i only geht this screen: http://www.abload.de/img/dsc023325q5.jpg first its only the loading circle, after a few secounds the cross by the apple logo aperas ... i had this screen on for like 15minutes but nothing hapens ... my hardware: intel core 2 duo 6400, 2.13ghz 1gm ram nvidia gforce 7200 sata hdd & drive usb mouse and keyboard what am i doing wrong?? /edit: when i start with boot option -v it stops at "Still waiting for root device" Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/110017-osx-does-not-boot-after-installation/ Share on other sites More sharing options...

54434234732544273985375368 Posted January 31, 2009 Share Posted January 31, 2009 The problem is it is still waiting for root device, there are numerous things that cause this, in my case when it happened to me it was because I didn't have a chipset selected. If you need to boot OSX put in the disk then press F8 I think, and type rd=diskXsY where X is the disk number and Y is the drive you installed it to.
