i found out what the problem is but i have no solution to it, the vgn-u70p seems to have an onboard ps2 device i guess its one of those pointer devices, and since i have no ps2 interface it seems like i got my ass open to that machine and it doesnt seem possible to get this thing working with osx, maybe something like an ps2 disabler would help a kernel extension wich disables all ps2 devices. but what do i know.

does it help if you attach a USB keyboard to it?

osx on my sony v505 has trouble recognizing the ps2 keyboard at first, but adding two lines in /etc/rc worked.

i can imagine if somebody would write something like a .kext wich would either bypass or disable the ps/2 interface, butvthe strange thing is my usb mous if i plug it into my vgn-u70p works, never than less my keyboard wont be identified.

here it comes, i gave up and decided to try it with usb keyboards, i ended up with 10 new keyboards, brand and noname products, NONE of them is working with my VGN-U70P it would be so nice to make it work with this machine, but it seems like it is not possible, when i install Linux, pae is not recognized for some reason, and recompilling the kernel seems not to solve the problem for which ever reason of course i would not exclude that im doing something wrong during kernel re-compillation

but i followed instructions from linuxquestion.org and it didnt help, anybody any clue how to get the keyboard running?

this machine has only usb, and it seems like the machines integraqted hardwired pointer device is PS2 and that is cousing the problem, the touchscreen is USB that is not the problem, i would apriciate any help thank you in advance
