gemmell
Define "success". I can install MacOS 10.5.4 using the iAtkos installer, but I have yet to get the Dual 8800M GTX to work. In fact after I install the nvidia drivers it doesn't shutdown properly and then I have to power it off and that leads to all sorts of trouble next boot. Try it out, let us know of progress. gemmell
I dunno what was happening before. I can get Nvidia drivers working with opengl but not quartz extreme.
theshadow
Did anything eventuate with this? I also have a M1730 and no Nvidia drivers seem to work with my SLI 8800M GTX.
gemmell
I just have a EFI string which works, but I don't get QE/CI and connecting an external display doesn't work. How well does yours do?
theshadow
Yeah, I was working on it with aqua-mac for a little while however nothing progressed >_<. X86 Tools produced an GFX EFI string for one of my cards (it was recognized, 512mb but no CI/QE) and then on second reboot it didn't work... What is your EFI string? I know it probably won't work on mine however it would be interesting to compare to the one I had from X86 Tools.
gemmell
I generated my EFI string using the handraulic method found here: http://forum.netkas.org/index.php?topic=222.0 It is: <string>4a02000001000000010000003e0200000d00000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000010 01060000000101060000000101060000007fff04000e0000004e00560050004d0000002000000001 00000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000000220000005600520041004d002c0 74006f00740061006c00730069007a006500000008000000000000201c0000006400650076006900 30065005f0074007900700065000000100000004e5644412c4765466f7263650e0000006e0061006 00650000000f0000004e5644412c506172656e7422000000400030002c0064006500760069006300 5005f00740079007000650000000b000000646973706c617922000000400031002c0064006500760 6900630065005f00740079007000650000000b000000646973706c6179100000006d006f00640065 06c0000000d000000383830304d2047545820000000400031002c0063006f006d007000610074006 0062006c00650000000e0000004e5644412c4e564d616314000000400030002c006e0061006d0065 00000120000004e5644412c446973706c61792d4114000000400031002c006e0061006d006500000 120000004e5644412c446973706c61792d4220000000400030002c0063006f006d00700061007400 90062006c00650000000e0000004e5644412c4e564d6163100000004e00560043004100500000001 00000004000000000003000c00000000000007000000001e00000072006f006d002d007200650076 06900730069006f006e0000000800000076312e30</string> in my com.apple.Boot.plist I also have the internal network card working (albeit with mac address of 00:00:00:00:00 - not a problem for me, just setup a rule in DHCP server to assign an address to all zeros MAC) and use a USB Belkin 7050 (v1) for my wireless. Sound works, but mic doesn't. All in all, I'd be pretty happy if I could work out how to get DVI happening, so I'm looking into NVCAP values.
