Hello all,

I'm a fairly advanced user in Windows and *nix worlds, but as the name says, I'm quite a newbie with Mac world and need some helps, so please give me some direction if you can.

I have a used Thinkpad T42 laptop (2343-xxx) with a centrino 1.7 GHz (SSE-2 only), 1.5 Gig memory, 120 GB hardrive, & iwi2100 wireless network card (built-in), I've also added a PCMCIA network card (D-Link DWL-G630 v.C2) due to the HCL for 10.4.8. I have successfully install XP, Tiger (10.4.8 - JaS) & Linux with proper boot menu to all 3 OSes. That was then (few weeks ago), now I screwed up and only XP is booting but I'll fix that.

My issue with previous installation of JaS 10.4.8 is PCMCIA doesn't seem to be working (the card is not recognized at all when inserted/removed) and I would really like the wireless to be working on this one. I've also had one successfull install of XxX 10.4.11 (but then I didn't have the PCMCIA card) out of may be 5 tries. Kalyway 10.5.2 was installed okay but the boot time is unbearable (>10 mins).

My question is can you recommend me a "distro" that would allow me to connect wirelessly? I understand that iwi2100 is currently not working, hence I got the DWL-G6300 PCMCIA card, and if it can be Leo "distro" would be a big plus (without the slow boot time though). That'd be a big help.

Thank you all in advance.
