wtfgecko_
Hey folks I'm having some problems with my Core 2 macbook. Its around a year and a half old now, and a few months ago I upgraded to leopard. All was well, apart from damn it was slow. As I was using it day to day for my various uni works I didn't bother to check before, however, now I have run Xbench, I can see immediately that there are some disk problems: Disk Test 22.88 Sequential 31.12 Uncached Write 35.91 22.05 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Write 28.20 15.96 MB/sec [256K blocks] Uncached Read 25.54 7.47 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Read 38.35 19.28 MB/sec [256K blocks] Random 18.10 Uncached Write 6.14 0.65 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Write 40.99 13.12 MB/sec [256K blocks] Uncached Read 53.76 0.38 MB/sec [4K blocks] Uncached Read 65.88 12.22 MB/sec [256K blocks] Pretty poor performance. Does anyone have any experience or knowledge of similar problems? Time for a new hard disk maybe?
awesomo
it's as simple as that I would try to repair the disk with your leopard install dvd. If no better time for a new harddisk
