faggus Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 i have an Asus P5K VM running leo4all 10.5.2. i have 3 hard drives and a dvd rom all connected to the sata ports, but it only recognizes 2 of the 4 sata devices. there's no way to enable 2 for ahci, and the other 2 for ide in bios. any ideas? tomauty Posted May 4, 2008 Share Posted May 4, 2008 Chances are, two are in a chipset that is detected. For instance, if two are in a Jmicron controller and two in an intel, it probably won't recognize the intel chipset controller. Look up what chipset your motherboard uses (ICH8, ICH8R something like that) and search for a patch for it. Once that's applied you can usually use IDE mode.
