BubaJez
With one HDD and XP already running how to install OS X? What I did, resize c:, got unalocated partition, but after booting with kaly DVD in Disk util I can not see this partition, and what's more it only sees XP partition as 128GB when it is 320GB....Please as far as I could find every one talks about clean install, but I can't do it ( many reasons) so is there a way or should I give up... Thanks... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103030-dual-boot-kalyway-leo-1051-and-xp/ Share on other sites
ceew
Create a extra partion It has to ba a primary one with unpartitioned space format it as a fat32 then use the kalyway diskutil to make that disk a journaled disk continue with the install choose mbr as boot option most of the errors b0 etc.. are because people didn't create a primary partition nb. i made all the partitions on my HD to primary (a limit of 4 per HD) I also had a ghost backup of my xp to recove if it fails . If you use norton ghost make you burn the recover boot cd. My set up is a 250 gb hard drive partition 1 25 gb winxpsp2 partition 2 125gb fat 32 (for storing files) partition 3 100gb macosx I used partion magic to create the partitions. My main use for leopard is video editing with final cut pro Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/103030-dual-boot-kalyway-leo-1051-and-xp/#findComment-745942 Share on other sites
NSCXP2005
Hi mate, you will not be able to use GUI boot on a partitioned HD, as it will change the MBR, the boot has to be set the same as XP, MBR is your best choice.
