jordanvanbergen
I have downloaded the following install DVD: MacOSX_10.4.4DVD.iso I will run when booting from my DVD drive but my drive is screwed up so the heating will shut down my notebook before the install is finished. Using the image on my HD should do the trick but than I have to use VMWare I assume and it looks promising. It starts from booting the cd-rom but after a minute I will receive the following error message: load of /sbin/launchd failed, errno 88 I used the boot install DVD rom earlier to upgrade my 10.4.3 to 10.4.4 but because of the heating problem I have a faulty 10.4.3 at the moment that doesn't boot natively anymore either. Anyone a clue if it's possible to install 10.4.4. using VMWare and updating the current 10.4.3 system or installing a fresh 10.4.4????? etaham
you need to mount the image (of the cd you got with you powermac) in daemon tools and set vmware to use that drive. vmware cant read the iso directly properly.
