msen612
i have a custom built dual core 2.20ghz intel with a evga 650i motherboard. i was wondering if anyone know the correct bios setting for this mobo for either Leo4All or kalyway 10.5.2. i ran the dvd and it gets stuck midway through. btw, i never get to see the installation screen. any help would be great, thanks in advance Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/102235-bios-setting/ Share on other sites

msen612
i figure it would be since most of the install guides says to modify the bios. anyone know for sure if bios has to be modified? macbrush
The most common problem is IDE/SATA/ACHI driver. It depends on what chipset your installation disc support, and whether you have to tweak your bios to make it supported, i.e. some bios let you choose between IDE (standard or enhanced) and ACHI mode for your SATA channels.
