ahemsa
I have installed OS X 10.5.2 using the Kalyway DVD on a Dell Optiplex GX620. I only really had 2 problems with it, the first being that the screen resolution would not go above 1024x768 and the second being that the NIC had a mac address of all zero's. Both of these were resolved by editing a few text files and the machine seems to work great except for one small hitch. I can't get any USB storage devices to recognize. My mouse and keyboard are hooked up via USB and work great. I can connect a second mouse and keyboard, they also work great. When I try to plug up a flash drive, however, it doesn't show up at all. As far as the Mac is concerned, it was never connected. Has anybody else seen this issue and know the resolution? This is the only problem with this machine keeping me from using it as my main desktop. Gujal
For some reason your USB ports are locked to USB1.1 and hence KBD and mouse are working. Generally You need USB2.0 support for storage media. There are lot of threads with solutions in this forum relating to this issue. Have a look around Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/102189-gx620-no-usb-storage-devices-other-usb-works/#findComment-729401 Share on other sites
