librash Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 Hi guys, First of all I m installing mac 1st time. I don't know very much abt mac os x, but I wanted to to try. I'm using Acer Aspire 5100 Laptop with AMD T64 process ,1 gb of ram , 80 gb hdd, DVD RW - with ATI 11000 chipset disply I manage to install Mac Os X leopard 10.5.2 from DVD. at the end it's shows " Installation successful " & restart pc. after restart my laptop stuck on MAC Logo , 2 min after another small no-entry sign will pop up & now it stuck forever. so please guide me, wht is the problem and wht is the solution thx Aashish Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
ilostmyunicorn Posted April 29, 2008 Share Posted April 29, 2008 You can try booting in verbose mode to see why the system is hanging When you reach the "Press any button to continue" message after turning your computer on, write "-v" (no quotation marks). It will basically tell you what the system is doing, and if it stops, you can use whichever line it stopped on as a guideline as to what may be the problem. =] You can also post it and I, or someone else, can try helping you along.
