Hello, first of all please excuse me if a question like this has been posted previously. I have searched and searched for many hours as well as read a couple tutorials, attempted them, reinstalled Leopard and am still having troubles.

I am using Leopard (Kalyway 10.5.2 Intel_AMD) as my installation DVD, the OS installs perfectly, no errors and everything within runs smooth and quick. The only thing it seems is my audio. I have an ASUS P5B 'vanilla' and according to my manual the audio driver is SoundMAX ADI AD1988A 8-Channel CODEC. I have heard of some people getting this to work properly but I haven't been able to yet.

I have tried to follow this tutorial:

But there are a few things I cannot find out. I have also tried the AppleAzaliaAudio tutorial with no luck. So I am now coming to ask everyone with their vast amount of knowledge if there is any hope for me to get audio working with my current setup. I hope for some good news. Thanks to everyone in advance.
