NatureX
Hey all, Posted before and did some reasearch, and decided to post again. I am running a P4 630 64Bit Chip 1 GIG Ram ATI x300 I just installed 10.4.3, and it goes through the installation process with a breeze, and when it reboots, it goes into the initial OS setup(Username, network, bla, lba, bla) Im in, using the OS, and everything is fine. However, the fact that I now rebooted again, when it gets to the(press any button to install Mac OS, or hit f8 for startup options": If I leave it, it goes back to the installation screen?????? -x, and -v also bring me back to the installation screen, and I tried rd=disk0s4, this feels like it wants to load, and then I get like a no smoking symbol above the apple. ANyone know why it thinkgs it needs to install again? Please help, as I just finally since the beginning got this to work, and now this sucks.... thanks in advanced. NatureX
If I take the dvd out, it tells me that it cannot find a boot device... Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10192-install-first-boot-yes/#findComment-63718 Share on other sites
martinc
Did you set the hard drive as the primary boot device in the BIOS? Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/10192-install-first-boot-yes/#findComment-63725 Share on other sites
NatureX
It's actually a new partition on the same hard drive, is there a way to set that partition as primary? I tried running it using disk0s4, and it didn't work.
