digitalperformer
Guys... last night I got SkullTrail (2 qual 2.0Ghz Xeons, 4Gigs FB-DIMM) to boot iAtkos 1.0i. I initially had problems getting it to boot... I was trying different approaches thinking it was Darwin Boot loader; I got this biznatch to boot by setting boot flag using Ubuntu live CD's gparted. Proceeded with shutdown and.... it booted. Leopard loaded .... The first hiccup I noticed was in registration of OS... you know it goes through put your location, time, name blah blah. I was stuck in a loop when it asked me if I wanted to transfer from another mac... I shut it down and rebooted. That solved that... weird. I continuned and finished the registration and I saw the beautiful GUI I've been using for a long time now on my Mac Pro. Awesome. My first impression was wow!!! Who needs a real Mac Pro. I checked out system profiler, Leopard saw Xeons, RAM without problems. I really didn't delve further into testing... 3 A.M in the morning One thing I was really impressed with was the video card I installed into skulltrail. HIS ICEQ3 ATI RADEON X1950Pro 256MB GDDR3... Worked flawless out of the box. OS supported resolution up to 2300X2000 range. I went on to using the internet which wasn't successful. On board skulltrail ethernet didn't work. System Profiler saw it though along with MAC address. I'm going to continue to test and provide more findings.. I'm first going to try to install a vanilla version of Leopard.
