blachole
Ok I got my hands on the 10.4.4 DVD and I installed it without a hitch. The only thing I am having issue with now is that its done installing, but when I goto reboot I get this error message: System Config file '/com.apple.Boot.plist' not found Is there a way around this? Did I not partition correctly? When I installed I wiped the HD clean with Apples Disk Utility. Any help would be great. Thanks. blachole
Ok, after reading that topic Jared I tried typing rd=disk0s2 at boot and it got me into OSX, but when I reboot it still keeps me out of directly booting into the OS unless I type that command in each time which can be a hassle..any ideas? Jared Kipe
nope thats where I'm at, although I think you might should go through another format and reinstall phase. you should have gotten disk0s1, being s2 could give you problems. I consider this acceptable, given that on my macs I don't reboot but like once a month or two and thats usually for updates that I cannot use on this anyway. Whats weird is that if I use the command I get a kernel panic but if I do the multiple F8 press thing she boots up perfect (which I can only assume is some glitch I found since I cannot find any documentation on it). xbcrguy182x
I get that error message when I try to boot off the DVD. Anyway, if you still have XP on ur hd, install Boot Magic and configure it with OSX86 and XP. That may help.
