kelcie234
Hello, I am new to Mac OSes and the OSx86 project. I have been trying over the past 2 days to install iATKOS v1.0ir2 on my computer. I've searched the forum for solutions but did not find a solution. Its specifications are: Gigabyte GA-945GCM-S2 **Not GCMX or S2L or S2D** 80GB SATA II HD Intel E4400 C2D cpu 1 GB 667 (2x512) Samsung SH-S203B SATA II DVD Using onboard Intel GMA 950 and ALC888 The motherboard spec sheet is here: http://www.gigabyte.com.tw/Products/Mother...me=GA-945GCM-S2 After "successfully" installing iATKOS install disk, I cannot boot from the HD. Note: Used winrar, MD5 checked out, burn verified. Booting without the disk gives me a blinking cursor. With the disk it just tries to reinstall. I added a boot flag with gparted and the result doesn't change. What I did when I installed iATKOS: Formatted the disk with the "Disk Utility" as a single partition with MBR. I've tried various combinations of the following items and nothing makes a difference: Bootloader --Darwin x86 bootloader Darwin EFI --Darwin EFI bootloader --Stock AppleACPIPlatform.kext --Stock Kernel Any help is appreciated. Gujal
iAtkos v1.0i R2 does not install a Bootloader as part of Install. (Fixed in R3) All you have to do is to boot with the DVD, go to "Utility" menu on Top of your screen and select "Install boot loader" Once done you can boot from your harddisk Link to comment https://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/101193-iatkos-v10ir2-on-ga-945gcm-s2/#findComment-721925 Share on other sites
macnewbie08
In the Utility i only see the "Set Startup Dish". It doesn't has the option you mention. BTW: I use ppf-o-matic3 to add the iATKOS_v1.0ir2-EqUaTe1.ppf to r2, after completed installation when the system boot i got the error message: "b0 error". Do you know how to fix it. My system: Intel Celeron with 1 gig ddr pc3200 - 34gig SATA internal drive - HP DVD-RW PATA drive - intel mainboard D865GBF with intel LAN, Intel Video and soundmax audio.
