It is also what you get when your boot your windows PC up :P

I have the highest respect for Apple and it's facilities. I have plenty of Apple products and am planning to buy a very expensive Apple laptop. Now that I have made that clear let me move on...

Why do all of you {censored} so much about Windows?! It's not a virus, and it is one of the most respected operating systems on the market and still is used more than Mac OS X. My point being again is that these companies wouldn't use it if it was malicious code. Get a life other than plastering an operating system more widely used that the one you are currently using. And I'm using a statistic here... :(

I agree 100%. I'm a universal person, Windows, Linux, OS X, whatever, I can use it. Windows was my first OS I ever laid eyes on, and even to this day I spend more time on Windows and tend to be more productive on it, I'm not saying one OS is better than the other. And IT IS NOT Window's fault that it has viruses. Get that into your heads. Viruses could be made just as easily for Windows and Linux, it affects Windows the most simply because it is the most used OS and is the prime target for virus makers. And when there is a vulnerability in Windows, MS patches it faster than any other OS company out there, IMHO.

The same thing for me in the current situation. :)

That is 100% true. The last time there was a big exploit (in Vista RTM I think) it was patched in a matter of hours!!!!!

Pretty funny english test.

Think Mark lives to post about how Windows doesn't work for anyone and how its a bloated virus. I'm not trying to delaugh the laughs thread either, but Windows jokes just aren't funny when they're unfounded and constantly repeated. How would you like it in every single thread or post that had the word 'Apple' or 'Mac' in it someone made a 'haha you can't upgrade a Mac' joke? It'd get pretty irritating really fast, just like these Windows sucks comments.

Windows does suck, though. That's what's funny about it. (I kid!) :D

In all honesty, Windows jokes got old in 1999. Some people on this board are hippies from the past apparently.

LMFAO @ the quiz. If anything, a Virus disables your access to the World Wide Web.

I'm sorry... bu their is so much more truth in that then you believe.... ever since i've started using windows (last September, always been a mac family) i've had nothing but trouble.

but anyways i think you could expect a thing like this to happen on a osx86 centered board... but w/e

I meant it purely as a joke, but I hear that it was not funny. Okay..... but, I have to say as far as installing Windows and getting it running on my macbook.... it was one of the biggest pains to do. The easiest part of it was provided by Apple in the drivers disk.... as far as getting other ones that would work or updating them..... not fun. I still don't have my wireless working, (although I hear that's a common error) also it's a lot easier for me to do stuff.... connecting to other computers over a network I still have not figured out. There are good stuff with Windows. I love the customizability of it and the fact that I can get so much more software for it.

Anyways, lets not turn this into a flame war or anything like that.....

Windows is a crippled OS.

Sorry, but it's true.

The OS is bloated and coded poorly.

No matter what you do you will never get the performance you could while running a Windows OS.

It's that simple. It's not a bad OS, but it's still crippled.
