  1. So I got my machine working and boots every time. The only issue is, after I'm up and running I get reboots and freezes on my screen. If I have 1 ifinder window open things are fine, as soon as I open another finder window or safari and move the window around it freezes and crashes. Same when I make video big in youtube. Does anyone know how to solve this issue? Any help would be gladly appreciated. My specs are as follow: Gigabyte z87x-ud7-th with i7-4770k 32gb DDR3 1600mhz XFX R9 280X Black edition A side note, I did flash the bios on my GPU to UEFI, not sure why it's crashing and I did try to add the vendor ID and DevID in clover with inject ATI. I also do have lilu and Whatevergreen Kext installed. Thanks again.

Hello world, I have decided to upload my own personally hex edited driver for the XFX Radeon 6670HD 2Gb video card with the HDMI-DVI-VGA setup. This is modified from a stock 10.9.3 AMD6000Controller.kext file with the Ipomoea personality edited to suit the connectors, encoders and transmitters for this card since they differ from the mac-based display port 6670HD model. I have tested the HDMI and DVI which appear to work at the same time since i'm dual screening with these connections currently - the screenshots can confirm this. I have yet to test the device using the VGA slot since I have no need for this connector. Hopefully it works all the same. Install to S/L/E with a utility such as Kext Wizard - backup replacements to be safe - repair permissions and then reboot. ---IMPORTANT--- The required bootflags for this kext to be activated are GraphicsEnabler=Yes aticonfig=Ipomoea atiports=3 **You will need to remove any injectors prior from either /Extra or /S/L/E though this is unlikely needed since kext graphics injection is largely outdated. **Due to the chip on the card triple monitoring is not possible. Best of luck

    Radeon HD 7770 (XFX)

Hi guys, sorry for my english. Anyone help me for editing framebuffer XFX Radeon HD7770. More details in this topic. (Post installation 10.10 Yosemite) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/305348-help-framebuffer-personality-editing/?do=findComment&comment=2123781 Thanks!
  4. Hi. I just installed a XFX Radeon HD 6870 2GB GDDR5 ("Dual Fan -DD" edition), but I'm worried my Duckweed framebuffer is not ok. Could someone verify or is everything ok? I can play chess and DVD player. Cinebench score is only 36.10. That is too low... what to do? OS X Lion 10.7.2 Chameleon version: Chimera 1.7 org.chameleon.Boot.plist: <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>AtiConfig</key> <string>Duckweed</string> ioreg | grep ATY +-o ATY,Duckweed@0 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x100000336, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (697 ms), retain 7> +-o ATY,Duckweed@1 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x100000337, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (7 ms), retain 7> +-o ATY,Duckweed@2 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x100000338, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (8 ms), retain 7> +-o ATY,Duckweed@3 <class AtiFbStub, id 0x100000339, registered, matched, active, busy 0 (6 ms), retain 7> bdmesg Using PCI-Root-UID value: 1 Framebuffer @0xE0000000 MMIO @0xFBAC0000 I/O Port @0x0000BE00 ROM Addr @0x00000000 ATI card POSTed, reading VBIOS from legacy space (AtiConfig) Framebuffer set to: Duckweed Nr of ports set to framebuffer's default: 4 ATI Barts AMD Radeon HD 6870 Series 2048MB (Duckweed) [1002:6738] (subsys [1682:310a]):: PciRoot(0x1)/Pci(0x3,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) I noticed that my 1682:310a is a different from others xfx cards. Probably the 2GB? Btw: The fan is working all the time, not a full speed, but not like it does in bios/boot area. Then its pretty darn silent. In Linux Mint as well. When OS X Lion login screen appears the fan kicks in again, if you catch my drift. So there is a problem in OS X and fan control. Thank you in advance

HDMI Audio on an XFX HD5570, 1GB DDR3

I'm close to giving up on this thing now... I got an XFX AMD Radeon HD-5570 1GB DDR3 ram. I'm using DSDT injection and GraphicsEnabler=No. I found none of the built-in personalities worked properly for me, so I made a three-port personality from scratch and patched it into Baboon. I've currently got all ports working (HDMI, DVI and VGA), with hot-plug (mostly) working. But, I have been unable to get audio out of my HDMI. As of now, I am using VoodooHDA (I'll switch to AppleHDA eventually) because I want to isolate the problem as much as possible. Voodoo shows me the HDMI device in the audio outputs but no sound comes through it. With my sense-id correctly (0x5) and Uniphy2 for that port I've tried all combinations of links and encoders (DIG5 Link A, DIG5 Dual Link, Dig 6 Link and all of them give me video out properly, none of them has audio. I've also tried setting the "Features" byte to both 01 and 71 (as I've seen on different personalities) and the Control Flag I've tried at 0x200 and 0x204, as per different personalities And what's generally known around the net (bcc9 and mucha's threads among others) Has anybody been more successful at this than I? Does anybody have a similar card or can anyone here maybe offer some insight as to what I could be missing?
  6. Hi, I get only 36 at Cinebench with my XFX Radeon HD 6870 2GB ("Dual Fan -DD" edition). My older GTX 260 got 32. Is there any solution out there? I recon this is a very low score for this card. Lion 10.7.2 Chimera 1.7 Duckweed Thank you in advance
