  3. OK so like every Hackintosh attempt failed on my old 2002 dell dimension 2350 (######, rboot, ###### legacy white screen where it is supposed to be the bootloader menu, hazard snow leopard - same reboot after loading darwin x86). I've Heard Some people actually got to the installation on the same machine. Here are my specs: Intel Pentium 4 Processor (400 MHz external, 1.80 GHZ Internal) 1GB RAM Video Card: integrated Intel 3D Extreme Graphics 7W080 - Dell Dimension 2350 Motherboard Can anyone help me? Thanks in advanced, TCF38012
  4. Hi all, I'm a first-time Hackintosher. Tried a few years back but I couldn't get it to work. Thought I'd give it a go again now that I've a few more years of experience on me. To start, here are my specs... Asus P8H61-M Mainboard Intel Core i72600K @3.5Ghz Asus EAH6850 2GB 1TB Samsung HD103SJ 8GB 1333Mhz DDR3 RAM What I've done so far... - Installed OS X Mavericks on a 100Gb partition using a ##### USB created in OS X Mountain Lion running on a Windows Machine in VMWare Workstation. - Run ##### (##### configuration). - Got wireless networking up and running, using a Sweex Lwo53 USB wlan receiver, and drivers from RalinkTech/MediaTech website. At the moment, however, I am only able to boot into safe mode. The problem seems to lie with the GPU and its kexts somewhere, as when I disable either AMD6000Controller.kext or AMDX3000.kext, the system boots just fine, but without any hardware acceleration. I've spent about a week googling the topic, and found plenty of leads, but nothing's worked. I've experimented with most of the more common bootflags, but I don't quite understand DSDT whether its necessary when using Mavericks. I also don't quite understand framebuffers and personalities with regards to my GPU. I've been a hardcore Windows user all my life so I'm very much out of my depth. I'm also not one for posting on forums much, but this community seems brilliant, so I figure someone must be able to point me in the right direction! Any help would be greatly appreciated. If anyone needs any more info, just let me know. (Also, I am aware that this site/forum does not support tonymacx86, so I don't know whether I'm allowed to mention his programmes or not, but those were the first thing I came across and they seemed the most simple at the time, so apologies in advance for that.) Cheers!
  5. Hey, I believe this is the right place to post this. I'm having a lot of troubles installing OSX on my Thinkpad T410. Every way of installing I try results in errors. Most of the time the error is "DSMOS has arrived". Sometimes it then changes to a whitescreen with line scrolling down. Images: I'm pretty sure it has something to do with my GPU. I managed to install Niresh once using the bootflag "GraphicsEnabler=Yes" but I wasn't able to boot after that and the flag never worked again. Not really sure what happened with that. I have tried using myHack, Uni\Beast and iAtkos, all of them result in the same thing. Any help with this would be great, thanks. Specs of laptop: CPU: i5-540M GPU: Either NVS 3100M or Intel HD 5700MHD. At first I thought it was the Intel but i'm starting to think otherwise. I have no real way of checking at the moment as there is no OS installed on the laptop
  6. Hi guys, Context and Information: This is my current Hackintosh build - http://ca.pcpartpicker.com/user/jwmann/saved/BJw6Mp I'm currently running 10.8.5 and using FBrotate.app as a startup item to alleviate my white screen issue to login. I'm trying to update to Yosemite (10.10.1) I've made my installer using this method: sudo /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app/Contents/Resources/createinstallmedia --volume /Volumes/MyGUIDInstallerUSB --applicationpath /Applications/Install\ OS\ X\ Yosemite.app --no interaction I'm using Clover to inject my FakeSMC and other kexts. Here's my config for Clover incase that helps. - http://d.pr/n/1esKg/38AVJwdG How I'm booting: I'm able to boot into the Installer, however I get a whitescreen issue and I'm not capable of doing anything. These are the usual flags that I use to boot: -v -npci=2000 -slide=0 -darkwake=1 It also boots fine without any flags. What I've tried: I've tried to perform the sleep trick, however my computer doesn't seem to respond to my sleep. I'm attempting to initiate Sleep by pressing the Power button once and waiting. Holding down the Power button will initiate a Forced Hard Shutdown Of course the next thing I've tried is to boot the installer using the -x boot flag for Safe Mode. This doesn't boot properly and says "No Mac OS Version" and ends up restarting. I don't have the exact logs to this but I'm fairly certain the reason why Safe Mode doesn't work is because it doesn't inject the kexts needed for the boot to work properly. Update #1: I've tried the 4 framebuffers from this list that have the same ports as my card - http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/292647-no-video-playback-on-hd7770/?p=1954322 These are the Framebuffers I tried and their outcomes: Aji - White Screen issue Dashimaki - Black Screen ( Not working at all ) Futomaki - Black Screen ( Not working at all ) Hamachi - White Screen issue
