    nvidia without web driver

if a web driver is NOT installed, what happens?? I used AMD RX560 in Sierra, but it is very unstable. usually gpu crash or window server crash occurred. so now I attached nvidea Quadro FX1700 to my Sierra. I know FX1700 works well in High Sierra, but I haven't tried it in Mojave yet. FX1700 works well without any additional kext, even nvidia web driver. I plan to buy a nividia card. I would like to know if a nvidia card, especially kepler, maxwell, pascal, works without web driver. just curious.

    NVidia Web Driver Modder

    Version 1.0

    2,097 downloads

After a build number increment (eg. 14C1510 -> 141514 ) the official NVidia Web Driver stop to work because of the internal check. This script helps you in patching the kext and add the relative boot-args. But this isn't the only functionality. There is also a useful function for users like me that haven't a "compatible" Mac ( I have a MacBook Pro 5,1 with GeForce 9600M GT) to patch also the installer. Usage (without quotes): "sudo NVidiaWebdriverModder.sh --skip-version-check" to patch the NVDAStartup.kext to load on the current system (need reboot and root user) "NVidiaWebdriverModder.sh WebDriver-xxx.xx.xxxxx.pkg" to patch the WebDriver.pkg installer file
  5. I've successfully installed High Sierra (10.13.0) on my system using Clover: 2x Intel Xeon E5410 16GB Ram GTX 950 Everything is running fine except the GPU. I've tried the web driver's latest version and 378.10.10.10.25.106 but both are very laggy/sluggish. I've also tried installing Lilu and nVidiaGraphicsFixUp kexts but they didn't change anything. Have someone managed to make this card work with High Sierra?
  6. Let's cross reference the facts and settings and find out why we have the lags with the nVidia web drivers and why some other people don't have the lags. I have an EVGA 1070 SuperClocked GPU which is working pretty well under macOS Sierra and up to macOS 10.13.2 the last macOS update and the nVidia web driver didn't go so well. So far I tried all the following options but nothing seems to work: 1. Used only clover's on the fly patch for the board-id to avoid the black screen issue 2. Used Lilu and nVidiaGraphicsFixUp 3. Used only AGDPFix without any other patches or kexts 4. Activated the iGPU 5. used ACPI patches to change the PEG0 to GFX0 6. Used iMacPro SMBIOS without any patches or kext Nothing seems to work so far except for the patched version of the 104 or 106 web driver which has the lags but it's way better than the last drivers. To all people with no lags: Please share your EFI folders if you can. (Please remove the serial number, MLB, UUID and all the private stuff from your config.plist and also remove "themes" and "Apple" Folder before posting it) and please share your hardware specs with the firmware version (BIOS/UEFI version) Thank you all You can test the following sites to see wether you have the lags or not: http://madebyevan.com/webgl-water/ (thanks to @maerten) or http://www.bongiovi..../webgl/blossom/ (thanks to @TheBloke)
  7. Hi, on my gear (i7-3770 16GB GA-Z77X-UD3H GTX 760 2GB) Web Driver works only 1-3 reboots after instalation. After this I`m geting black screen in middle of loading. I can login remotly to my machine when screen is black. After rebuilding cache manualy or with kext Utility screen work again! I have MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 with all updates nVidia Web Driver 378.05.05.25f04 installad Lilu.kext and NvidiaGraphicsFixup.kext On macos default driver I`m getting same results. Latest Clovers is my boot loader. How I can fix this up permanently ?
