10.5.6 Voodoo Kernel Panic

Hi I have a Dell Studio 540, stock - two cores, etc. I have tried EVERY flag known to man, every version of iPC on the internet. And this is what happenes. Before installation, rd=disk0s3 cpus=1 -v : Firewire <blaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa> (All good) Got Root Device (Thankyou lord!) BSD root: disk0s3, major 14, minor 3 nfs_boot: networking is not installised (I think this is the problem...), and then... Please contact Voodoo dev-team, sorry, blaaaaaaaaah panic(cpu 0 caller 002D958D): 'nfs_boot_init failed with 6\n"@/VoodooKernel/xnu-1228.7.58/bsd/nfs/nfs_vfsops.c:851 Please help. VoodooPatcher

Hey everyone, After a post regarding how to inject a custom version of VoodooHDA.kext into VoodooLoader I've released a tool that will do it for you (including permissions)! To use the tool do the following: 1. Download and Install VoodooLoader 2. Download VoodooPatcher 3. Open VoodooPatcher and drag your modified VoodooHDA to the window -For now, the file must be named VoodooHDA.kext 4. Wait 5-10 seconds 5. Enjoy a custom VoodooHDA You can download both VoodooLoader and VoodooPatcher from the official Google Code page --> http://code.google.com/p/voodoo-launcher PS. I think I've worked out all the bugs, however if you find any please message me with the problem
Ufa! Espero dicas. Obrigado.
4. The only kext being injected in Clover is FakeSMC.kext yet somehow VoodooPS2Controller.kext is running when I boot with clover and kexts from S/L/E are being disabled. For instance, my battery and hardware sensors kexts are disabled when I load from Clover but work when booting from Chameleon. I have checked every folder, there are no Voodoo kexts, is there a driver or something injecting Voodoo kexts in Clover, the only changes I've made is in the config file? When I boot with Chameleon all of my kexts from S/L/E are working fine and VoodooPS2Controller doesn't load (as it should). Can anyone help me figure out what's wrong? I have an Asus UX303LN and these are my specs along with my config file. i5 4210u 1TB HDD Intel HD 4400 nVidia 840m [disabled in Clover] FocalTech Touchpad config.zip
5. Dell Inspiron 6000 Kernel Panic (rtclock_init) Fix Have you tried the BIOS setting POST - Auto and it didn't do anything? Well, after a little bit of research, I found a fix! When iPC and iDeneb wouldn't boot, I got truly annoyed. rtclock_init was kicking my ***! So I tried this little fib: BEFORE YOU BEGIN-- Disable Intel SpeedStep in BIOS, re-enable after installation! -- BEFORE YOU BEGIN Step 1- Find your Pentium M maximum clock speed (For me, 1.6 GHz) Step 2- Find the FSB clock speed (For me, 533 MHz) Step 3- Convert Pentium M max clock speed to MHz (Ex. 1.6GHz = 1600 MHz) Step 4- Subtract FSB clock speed from max clock speed in MHz (So 1,067 for me.) Step 5- Divide by 133. Round to nearest tenth (So, 8.) Step 6- Type busratio=(insert number here) into boot: prompt after pressing F8 on boot of DVD I had this laptop laying around, now I have a MacBook Pro AND a dell running 10.5.6!
6. I just acquired a laptop. It's an Acer Extensa 5420. It is an AMD Turion64X2 based machine. I have installed 10.6.3 Retail using Nawcom's ModUSB. The problem is the PS2 kexts. I've tried several different kexts, with varying degrees of success. Ideally I'd like to have full synaptics features, which are known to work on 10.6.8 on this laptop, but I have opted to stick with 10.6.3 because it is far more stable than 10.6.8 and I can acheive proper resolution. But the biggest issue that is plaguing me is the fact that when I boot up, I can move the mouse using the trackpad but I can't click on anything or type anything for several minutes (usually between 3-4 minutes after boot). After that, it works fine and doesn't give me any problems but the delay is VERY annoying. I'm inclined to believe it may be caused by more than just the PS2 kexts. Even when I plug in a USB keyboard and mouse, the problem persists. The mouse will move, but I can't click on anything or type anything in for at least 3-4 minutes after boot
7. Hi I tried my best with DSDT and followed all tutorials for this MoBo i could find, but they allways point to the Voodoo kext. Unfortunately this sollution is simply not good enough for me. I have very strong noise in my spekers with all the voodoo kexts and it is vital to me that the sound is clean. Soo if You have a sollution better then I then I would be glad to hear it [sic!] So far i installed retail 10.7 with the live DVD (regae) then did the combo 10.7.2. With my DSDT.aml copied to the desktop I used ##### 4.2.1 and checked: + user DSDT Install + System Utilities - Drivers - Kexts - Audio - Realtek ALC8xx + ALC8xxHDA + AppleHDARollback - Disk + 3rdPartySATA + Jmicron36x ATA - Network + Realtek Gigabit... I see in SystemUtil that the HDA kext is working (I see input and output choices) but i can't hear a thing. The system is stable so far (no booting in verbose mode to avoid kernel panic as before) but still no clean sound, well no sound at all... Any help will be nice!!! There is a DSDT for MSI X58 pro-e in attachment (extracted in linux and patched with DSDTeditor and debugged in DSDT SE
8. Hi! I am new to OSx86 and I have tried to install Hazard 10.6.2 onto my system via Virtual Machine. Whenever I try this, I receive a Kernal Panic as seen in the picture. Any help will be appreciated but I am quite new to this stuff so sorry if I dont understand. My system specs are: CPU: AMD-FX4170 @ 4.7Ghz, RAM: Crucial 8gb ram, GPU: MSI R6770, MOBO: Asus M5a78l-m/usb3, HD: 500gb Samsung Baracuda Thanks Mike
9. My friend (code) and I (idea and hints) developed a small tool for changing sound volume even for aggregate devices cause native sound volume controller can't change volume of aggregate devices (it was always pain in the ass with my laptop). Features: Changing sound volume of every device (even virtual aggregate device volume by changing volume of every device in aggregate device) Changing default output device Native appearance (looks like native volume controller) I think it can be very useful if you're using VoodooHDA with 4.0+ sound on the board (my use case), but you can find another use cases. For example if you want to play 2 or more output devices at the same time you should: Create aggregate device in Audio MIDI Setup Add all output devices you want to this new aggregate device Hide default sound controller icon if enabled (by dragging away or in audio preferences) Use our app to control sound volume Add our app to startup (if you need) You can find source code here: https://github.com/rlxone/MultiSoundChanger/tree/master Latest build here: https://github.com/rlxone/MultiSoundChanger/releases
10. hello, I have been experimenting with hackintosh for a while now, and just recently installed a fresh install of 10.8.0. Im running an MSI GT683r laptop with no DSDT (as I dont know how to do this) and have a working install. In all the other versions ive installed in the past, (10.5-7) I've always been able to get my audio to work using the voodoo 0.2.1 or one of the audio kexts (my pc has Realtek 892) found in the various releases of ######. However, for some reason, I cannot get my internal speakers to function. Now at one point, I could use my internal speakers on my 10.8.0 install but now, all of sudden, I see is 4 different selections of "Digital out" and a "line out" in my sound settings menu. I've tried installing and reinstalling various different voodoo releases, realtek, and as well as reinstalled the OS but with no luck. Also, when the speakers worked ###### installs of realtek kexts always failed, so i used voodoo which worked, but now the realtek ones install. I read that you had to reset the digital sensor in the headphone jack, but there is no red light coming from it and I have crammed q tips and tickled the inside quite a lot. Also, my laptop physically has a headphone jack, a mic (no inputs can be seen currently on sound prefs), a line in, and a line out (only sound line that works) Any suggestions? My laptop has very nice speakers and i want to use them. Thanks in advance. (screen shot below, let me know if you want more)
11. Hello fellow hackintoshers, For some reason, my VoodooHDA didn't load at boot, only when i was already logged in, even though it had the right permissions (tried chmod/chown manually in terminal and via disk utility and still nothing) and it was inside the kextcache, so I decided to make a tool that would kextload it at startup without any interaction. The result is VoodooStarter. It is a launch daemon that performs a kextload command right at startup. This technique could be utilized to load other kexts that fail to load for some reason at boot, but succeed when logged in. P.S. I made a small applescript app that makes it really easy to install and uninstall VoodooStarter. Note: VoodooHDA.kext must be in /System/Library/Extensions/ (but you can modify the plist if it is somewhere else) !! The installer app : The plist that is installed in /Library/LaunchDaemons/ Hope it helps, limiter121
