  1. Guys, I'm new here, but really counting on your help. I'm setting up a computer for video editing and DTP and all work fine except for USB 3.0. I've read hundreds of web pages and forum, but cannot find a working solution. Does anyone of you have this board and successfully working USB 3.0 ports? I would really appreciate help. Cheers, Rafał
  2. Hi everyone, I'm writing here to find a solution to the issues I'm encountering on my computer after installing OS X 10.8.3. My system is the following: i7 3770K, ASRock Z77 Extreme4, 2x4GB 2GHz RAM. I'm using the integrated HD4000 graphics. Everything seemed working after installing some kext (audio and OC'd processor with "an unified tool", video and LAN separately), but: - There's no way to make my computer sleep: the screen turns off, the power led begins flashing, but the fans keep going, and the motherboard display shows a (error?) code. Then I can't wake the pc but pressing the reset button. - Even if I installed the proper kext, all the USB 3 ports can't read any mass storage device I connect: if I plug in a mouse, or another similar device, it works flawlessly, but any USB thumb drive or external HDD aren't recognised. - After some minutes of normal usage, my computer loses the internet connection. A reboot is the only solution: after that, the issue disappears, but if I switch off the computer and, for example, I don't turn it on till the following day, it disconnects again. The third one is the most bothersome issue, because it often happens when I need a stable connection, so I'd be satisfied with a solution to just that one. Thank you for you help :wink2:
  3. I'm hoping some of you fantastic folks can help me with my build. I basically made a CustoMacMini build from Tonymacx86, and put together my build with an i5-3750K chip on a Gigabyte H77N-WIFI board, 16Gb 1600MHz RAM, a Gigabyte 650ti Boost 2Gb graphics card, a Sandisk 240GB SSD, it's installed with OSX 10.8.4 and a bitfenix case. I got my system up and running after a lot of searching through guides and troubleshooting, where in which I was having a terrible time with safe boot only loading and graphics cards not showing, but all that got resolved. Now my issue is this: Although my system recognizes devices which are USB 3, when I look them up in System Profiler, they all max at USB 2 speeds. The Ext USB 3 HD I have maxes at 48mb/s in Blackmagic speed test, and theoretically maxes at 480 speeds. I read that you have to use a USB3 hub with that board, so I bought a 4 port Anker USB3 hub, but that didn't work. I also installed the genericUSBXHCI kext, and that at least helped recognize my devices, but I can't get USB 3 speeds. Any ideas please?

    Yosemite USB3

Hi all Usb 3 in yosemite is not functioning like in mavericks. How do I make it work again? In mavericks it was working all fine with GenericUSBXHCI.kext from rehabman. I tried the latest one for yosemite but no luck. Though you can see that usb 3 is recognized in "About my mac". As you can see here its showing up but not working. The kext I am trying is attached. My specs are in signature if anything is not clear enough please ask. Ive done research about it but not found anything useful, so please share your knowledge.
