  1. Hi, I know those PMs drives have issues with MacOS/hackintosh as the booting drive. But anyone using them as storage devices only? I want to use them to store my data only, not booting the OS. Thanks!
  2. Hi guys, I bought a used Mac 2015 pro with a basic 120 GB SSD. I'm considering upgrade options for it and want to have a 500 or 1TB option for it. Basically apple has put a excruciating price tag for upgrades so I am considering sintech adapters and a standard NVME M2 SSD installation. My question is, aside from Samsung 970 EVO, will other options such as WD Black NVME or SanDisk SSD work? I'm not after huge write speeds, just after storage and decent performance. Samsung is a little bit expensive. Thoughts?
  3. Hi guys! I'm trying to get usb 2.0 retrocompatibility (for mass storage only - other usb 2.0 device works) from my usb 3.0 port. I'm not using any dsdt for my mb (check my signature). Untitled.tiff Any idea?
  4. Hi, I recently updated to 10.8.4 on my desktop machine (see signature). Since the update, OSX refuses to mount any USB mass storage formatted as FAT32/exFAT/NTFS. Such partitions are correctly detected in Disk Utility, and in fact both the "repair" command and the "verify" command complete successfully. Still, the mount command doesn't work. HFS-formatted partitions work as expected. Any suggestion? Thanks.
  5. So I've run into a bit of an issue that I need help figuring out. I have a Mountain Lion Guest running on my ESXi 5.1 host. The OS is located on a local datastore, but then I have about 6.5TB worth of virtual disks attached to this machine that are stored on an NFS datastore. I would like to migrate all of these disks to a different datastore. Now I know I can usually go an just migrate the disks individually, but Vcenter wont allow me to do this because OS X is not supported(?). Does any one know of a way that I can accomplish this? Thanks!
  6. This project is actually two years old, but despite the aging SATA standard, still current as an idea. And of course - conforming hackintosh different thinking. I invite you to my shop for a short film of the "Do it yourself" series.
