1. Hello, insanely kind people! I had full working Speedstep on my system with El Capitan, but after installing Mojave i cant make it working again!Help me please. Actually system is working only with NullCPUPowerManagement.kext. As soon as i remove it from Extensions directory i've got kernel panic at the boot.I tried to put SSDT.aml from my previous ElCapitan clover, tried to make new by different utilities, but still no luck.My system is:Pentium G3258Asus Z97-K USB 3.1Nvidia GTX 670i''m attaching my new clover.plist of Mojave and old El Capitan one, which makes Speedstep fully working and overclocking my little Pentium from 3.2 to 4.5GHz. Now i see huge speed loss without SpeedStep on Mojave Please help, anybody! Also im attaching my working SSDT.aml from El Capitan. El Capitan SSDT.aml El Capitan config.plist Mojave config.plist
2. So, after all my tweaking and tinkering to my laptop hackintosh, I finally got a great working system (#1 in signature) I performed a generation of custom processor SSDT and it gives me the best results! My Geekbench score is over 6000 It performs better than any Macbook with the same system definitions ever could, and here is the graphics to prove it You won't see any Macbook even at the 5000, maybe the newest ones but not the 2014 ones. I am deeply in love with my Hackintosh, it has taught me so much, and it responds so well when you know how to treat him right Good hacking guys
3. Hi, I applied the SpeedStep patch for 10.7.3 and it works fine. However with MSRDumper I can see there are only 2 steps are used: Feb 15 00:17:57 Zhangs-MacPro kernel[0]: MSRDumper CoreMulti(43) Feb 15 00:17:57 Zhangs-MacPro kernel[0]: MSRDumper PStatesReached: 16 43 Feb 15 00:17:57 Zhangs-MacPro kernel[0]: MSRDumper CoreMulti(16) Feb 15 00:17:57 Zhangs-MacPro kernel[0]: MSRDumper PStatesReached: 16 43 Also in the boot process I can see: ACPI CPUs not found: C-States not generated !!! ACPI CPUs not found: P-States not generated !!! I know this is not a problem about SpeedStep patch. From what I've read I guess I need to put some SSDT.aml file or DSDT.aml file under /Extra. However I don't know how to get them... Thanks for helping!
4. Hey guys, I have an alienware m14x r2 with an I7-3630qm and im having issues with getting more than two p-states (12 and 24). Which from my understanding is that my power management is not working properly, or at all. I have checked kextstat aswell as in system information under extensions and verified that Appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext is loaded as well as AppleLPC.kext, AppleSMC and AppleHPET.kext. I have the appleintelcpupowermanagementinfo.kext and it shows only two p-states are active. I have generated an DSDT following the guides, upon compiling it i had a few errors but i found a patch on here under the motherboard patch sections for my laptop. I used that to patch it and it took away the errors. I dont believe my dsdt is the issue, but i honestly dont know. I generated the ssdt using the SSDT-pr script and had it saved to the extra folder. I am using chameleon 2.2 and in that i have DropSSDT=Yes. I have tried a few different combos but it either results in 1 pstate (12) or 2 pstates (12 and 24). I have tried to disable turbo in bios which results in one pstate. I have tried Disabling speedstep in bios which results in 1 pstate. I have Tried Macbookpro10.1 smbios, macmini6.2. Which still only give me 2 pstates. I have attached my dsdt, ssdt and my Appleintelcpupowermanagement.kext which was patched using the patcher from insanelymac.com/downloads section made by iFire. Also i didnt mention I am on 10.8.3. This is my bdmesg from chameleon. Customizing SystemID with : 44454c4c-5100-1037-8033-b4c04f435731 Read HFS+ file: [hd(0,2)/Extra/DSDT.aml] 41647 bytes. Modifica SSDT.aml

Grazie a tutti! ssdt.dsl:aml.zip
6. I've installed Mavericks successfully using clover UEFI on a machine with these specs. Asus p8h61-m le (with patched BIOS from biosrepo) i5 2400 (Sandy) Geforce GT210 Thought it was all %100 but after rebooting a few times, boot got stuck at 'P-state error 18' and KPs soon after due to AppleCPUPowerManagement.kext Strange thing is, if I leave it boot cycling, it will eventually boot. Sometimes first go, other times after 30 or more tries. I tried enabling C-states and P-states via clover but no change. (I'm not sure the P-State error actually has anything to do with the KP) I also tried the ssdtPRGen script and used that with clover but still no change. I'm not sure where to go from here. Can someone please point me in the right direction???

8. Hi, After a successful installation of 10.10.5 on my x99 system there are still things to fix on post. I would appreciate every one's help and contribution to solve these problems. Needing to be fixed: Backlight/Brightness control Sleep/Wake (It doesn't sleep properly and doesn't wake up through mouse touch or keyboard) ThunderboltEX II isn't recognized being the great mystery of this build (devices are always plugged before booting, Bios Security ID is set to Legacy, the card is installed on Pcie x4_1 and recognized in Windows) AppleThunderboltNHI.kext was removed for faster booting Speedstep not accomplished Nvidia Driver - I can't select it at system preferences. 9. I leave a video with my results Update 12/12/2015 I have updated the mini guide of USB 3.0 to work with all X99 motherboards. see step 5.B for details. This guide it was tested with a i7-5820k and Gigabyte Ga-X99-UD3P First for install Mac OS X 10.11 in our hackintosh we need to disable a usb 3.0 in the bios. Then we need to use a iMac13,2 definition. When the system has finished installing we boot the first time and install clover. Then we go to the EFI partition and changed the VBoxHfs-64.efi with the HFSPlus.efi that we can download in the following site HFSPlus.efi Ok let get ready for the magic. 1. Well here is the magic with this CPUID we convert our Haswell-E into a IVY BRIDGE CPU.(For this guide works it is important that don't change the fakecpuid number because IvyBridge is the only processor that works with XCPM the IvyBridge-E doesn't works with XCPM) <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>FakeCPUID</key> <string>0x0306A0</string> </dict> 2. This arguments is for use XNU Power Management instead AICPM. <key>Boot</key> <dict> <key>Arguments</key> <string>-xcpm</string> </dict> 3. Now we can changed the definition to MacPro6,1 <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>ProductName</key> <string>MacPro6,1</string> </dict> 4. When you switch to MacPro6,1 definition you may not be able to boot your Hackintosh, because the monitor turns off after the boot process. How to solve this problem? Easy, go to System/Library/Extensions/AppleGraphicsControl.kext/Contents/PlugIns/AppleGraphicsDevicePolicy.kext/ copy the info.plist to Desktop and change: <key>ConfigMap</key> <dict> <key>Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6</key> <string>Config1</string> </dict> To <key>ConfigMap</key> <dict> <key>Mac-F60DEB81FF30ACF6</key> <string>none</string> </dict> Then replace the original info.plist with the modified version. 5.A I made a couple of dummy kext for this guide. These kext are to fix the USB, AHCI, LPC and PlatformPlugin. You need to download and put into the /Library/Extensions X99 USB2.0.zip.zip 5.B To get all USB3.0 working you need to use this binary patch and download my X99 injector. Put the injector into the /Library/Extensions theX99 USB3.0.zip(NOTE: IF YOU USE THIS KEXT DON'T USE THE KEXTS FROM 5A) 6. For Haswell-E is necessary to use the VoodooTSCSync.kext, that you put in /Library/Extensions/ (Download VoodooTSCSync.kext) Open the info.plist of the VoodooTSCSync.kext and edit the IOCPUNumber. <key>IOPropertyMatch</key> <dict> <key>IOCPUNumber</key> <integer>11</integer> </dict> 7. The only thing left to do is create a ssdt for our processor. a. Download the Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh curl -o ~/ssdtPRGen.sh https://raw.githubusercontent.com/Piker-Alpha/ssdtPRGen.sh/Beta/ssdtPRGen.sh b. The next step is to set the execute/search bits by entering this terminal command: chmod +x ~/ssdtPRGen.sh c. Run the ssdtPRGen.sh for first time. ~/ssdtPRGen.sh -c 2 d. As we are using a FAKE CPUID in our processor the ssdtPRGen.sh doesn't works automatic. so we downloaded the missing information manually and put into the ~/library/ssdtPRGen/Data. You can use the terminal for open the folder. open ~/library/ssdtPRGen/Data X99Haswell.cfg.zip e. Run again the ssdtPRGen.sh using the board-id of iMac14,2 to get C7 state: ~/ssdtPRGen.sh -c 2 -b Mac-27ADBB7B4CEE8E61 Once finished you will have the ssdt.aml on the ~/Library/ssdtPRGen/. Move it to /EFI/CLOVER/ACPI/patched 9. Download InsanelyRepairPermission and repair and touch with sudo InsanelyRepairPermission -rt / Restart your hackintosh. 10. It's time to know if your motherboard has MSR 0xE2 locked. Download the DarwinDumper run it and when it finished open the BootLog section and look for the MSR 0xE2 section. MSR 0xE2 is locked, PM patches will be turned on If you found the same text you need to turn on the KernelPm on clover <key>KernelAndKextPatches</key> <dict> <key>KernelPm</key> <true/> </dict> 11. If your motherboard has a 1150 audio chipset I will leave a AppleHDA.kext modified for works after sleep. Remember for this kext works you need to use the DSDT fix and device injection on clover. <key>DSDT</key> <dict> <key>Fixes</key> <dict> <key>FixHDA_8000</key> <true/> </dict> </dict> <key>Devices</key> <dict> <key>Audio</key> <dict> <key>Inject</key> <string>01</string> </dict> </dict> X99 1150 AppleHDA.kext.zip
10. I am using MacPro 5,1 sambas and don't want to change it to other due to iCloud and iMessage log in issue. I have been modifying IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext to use macmini5,1 speedstep for my i5-2500k and was working. However, now with Yosemite, it won't boot with such kext. I can load modified kext such as applertc, applehda, AGPM, etc but this kext won't load nor applied to kernel cache. because of this, my system is stuck at 3.4GHz. any idea? Thanks in advance.

Speedstep/Overclock with Clover

Hi guys. I've recently built my custom hackintosh after being a loyal Apple customer for many years. My hackintosh (check my signature) is nearly perfect (sleep, igpu, efi dual boot) but... I'm trying to achieve different p-states using Clover and a generated ssdt. Now I'm running a 3570k @4.3 ghz and I've only two p-states (16 - 43). I would like to have a proper speedstep with more states. I'm using MacPro3.1 sysdef and I cannot inject MacMini6,1/6,2 (my sistem is always recognized as the last used sysdef). Here is my config.plist. <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>ACPI</key> <dict> <key>MaxMultiplier</key> <string>43</string> <key>MinMultiplier</key> <string>8</string> <key>GenerateIvyStates</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> <key>SMBIOS</key> <dict> <key>ProductName</key> <string>MacPro3,1</string> </dict> <key>PCI</key> <dict> <key>USBInjection</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>USBFixOwnership</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>InjectClockID</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> <key>SystemParameters</key> <dict> <key>boot-args</key> <string>npci=0x2000 slide=0 NoKexts</string> <key>prev-lang:kbd</key> <string>it:0</string> <key>InjectSystemID</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>LegacyBoot</key> <string>PBR</string> </dict> <key>Graphics</key> <dict> <key>PatchVBios</key> <string>Yes</string> </dict> </dict> </plist> Any ideas to get more states between 16x and 43x? P.S. Intel Turbo Mode is enabled, EIST too. Thank you in advance! P.P.S I'm not using any dsdt at the moment. Flashed bios from biosrepo.
12. Hi! I converted my Alienware Aurora R4 in a Hackintosh and... work perfectly!!! Sound, Usb3.0, all!! I use ##### and ##### without dsdt, and chimera. I am new in this procedures. But... My problem is that AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement dosen't work for me. I try all! -Tried NullCPU... but I loss the overclocking velocity, and fall from 4,2ghz to 3,2ghz. -Tried Patched... and patched by me too, but AICPUPM give me everytime a Kernel Panic. -Tried install Clover, and use UEFI, but is the same problem. KP. -Tried make my dsdt with dsdt editor, and a sdst with the generator. But nothing. -Couldn't use Voodoo Pstates to make a dsdt, because I use ML and don't load. -Tried all in the config boot, and nothing... I read all the post abour the error, but nothing nothing. Snif Please help me... Manual overclocking don't work. I tried it, but... multiplier of A07 bios didn't work. I only think to... patch the bios. But I don't know if that is possible, or... a good idea. I'm desperate. Thanks for help!!!
13. Hi, the last few days I tried to improve the performance of my Hackintosh. Now I wanted to enable proper SpeedStep and got a problem with my SMBIOS. I had the MacPro3,1 definition running until now, but to enable SpeedStep I wanted to try the Macmini5,3 definition. The problem is that as soon as I set the definition in Clover I get stuck on booting at: AppleLPC::start - Could not find IOPlatformPlugin driver. The strange thing is, that my X86PlatformPlugin.kext got no definitions in it. Do you think the error could be related to that and what could I do to resolve the issue? Thanks in advance

speedstep funziona?

I previously had chameleon with iMac 12.1 set as model and everythings worked fine But now with the same boot config steepstep won't work, i'm stuck with @16x Here is my different config.plist Clover : Chameleon : Need some help :/
17. Please forgive my bad English。 I have installed yosemite a month ago. My laptop is ASUS X550JD, which hardware is like R510JK or X550JK. It's detail is as below: Cpu: i5 4200H Motherboard: Intel H86m GPU: HD 4600+NV GT820m(block it by dsdt) Sound: CX 20751/2 SSD:PLEXTOR PX-256M6S (256 GB, SATA-III) What I have done: I have read the post about R510JK on TonyMacX86,Edit dsdt and install some .kext so that the Gpu , sound card , USB and other can works well. Now,there are two problems confuse me and I don't know how can I solve them. First, My laptop can't sleep, when I click the 'sleep key ' to sleep, The lcd USB network card and the hard disk will turn off, but the cpu fan always run and after several minutes , the laptop will restart, with a window which says "Sleep Wake Failure".The report I will attach it. I search the console ,get some info:(I'm a chinese) I think the AGPM has some problem ,but i don't know how can i fix it. Secondly,I use the ssdt file which made by ssdtPRGen.sh . When i set the sambas is MBP11,1 or 11,2 , the speedstep include six :8,18,28,30,32,34, There must be some problems. When Clover auto select the smbios MBA 6,2, it only have two speed :800Mhz/2.8Ghz. I hope somebody can help me and I will thanks a lot . My best . Panjunwen. My_Patched_DSDT_SSDT&Sleep_log.zip
18. Hi guys. I spend last week trying to make my pm being operative but I failed. I also spend most of that time on different forums trying to find solution to my problem but all methods I've tried didn't work. About the platform: I have patched asus BIOS 3603 using PMPatch and set turbo mode to 4.5GHz (was also set as default to 3.9 but it also didn't work). In bios i have enabled only c1 state, eist and turbo mode - also virtualization cause it kp when it's off. DSDT generated compiled and repaired with DSDTEditor. SSDT generated from MaciASL for turbo 45 and tdp 95. About the problem: PM works... a bit. GeekBench score is quite reliable - 12589. It boots without NullCPU[...] but MSRDumper shows only 16 and 35 no 45 or any steps between. I tried different smbios from macmini, imac and so on. All the time I get only those 2 states. Generating CStates and PStates gives me more states on boot but MSR still reports only 2 I posted above... I tried injecting SSDT pstate section directly into dsdt but it also gave me no luck. - I heard that it can be necessary for asus boards. So do you have any ideas cause I have none left. Will be really grateful for any help. PS. Attached SSDT from MaciASL and DSDT. PM_DSDT.zip
19. Hi, Here is my experience with this setup: - ASUS X99/A USB3.1 Mainboard - i7 5820k processor - Radeon R9 270x - SAMSUNG M.2 MZHPV256 storage - ASUS PB287Q 4k display (Display Port connector) Since I had to go through a lot of different resources to have it working properly, I wanted to share all the info in a single place. Following the guide from http://www.rampagedev.com, and with the help from Slice, Mieze and Vlada from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/308025-no-graphics-usb-audio-after-wake/, the info from Stinga from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/309717-haswell-e-5820k-5930k-installation-guide-with-full-speedstep-working/, El Capitan USB threads from Rehabman and constant updates from Pike's blog https://pikeralpha.wordpress.com we can get a really stable build based on X99 chipset with the following features: - Speedstep working - Audio through DP - All USB2/3 ports working (USB3.1 ports disabled in BIOS) You can find a screenshot attached List of steps to be performed: Disable Serial Port in BIOS (I cannot boot the system with Serial Port enabled), disable ASMEDIA USB 3.1 controller Strictly Follow the installation guide in Rampagedev.com Follow the X99 guide from Ramapgedev (except for config.plist) for 10.10 using the following files: SSDT.aml in ACPI/PATCHED (rampagedev) AppleIntelE1000e for ethernet support (rampagedev) FakeSMC (currently using SLICE 3.x version) http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/296460-amdcpumonitor-and-hwsensors-331/page-1 X99_Injector modified kext (attached) to load AppleLPC kext only (credits to PJALM) config.plist for Clover (attached here) config.plist probably has redundant info, but basically provides the following features: Rename EHC1, EHC2, XHCI in order to have USB fully working use xcpm for power management Patches AppleUSBXHCIPCI to remove usb port limit Forces a fake processor ID to enable xcpm and speedstep There is NO need for a specific processor P-states SSDT, but if you want to get no errors on boot you can create one following the details in the threads above. That's it. Attached mine, in case you want to use my configurations (47x max multiplier, 100Mhz BCLK) BIOS configuration (for my setup): Speedstep enabled Turbo states enabled Max CPU multiplier 47x as you can see from the xcpm info - I would suggest to start with "AUTO" for all CPU-related settings BCLK 100 Mhz Memory set to 2133 Mhz - If I increase memory speed to the upper 2k range or set the BCLK to higher freq. the system is very unstable and reboots without notice (this happens in El Capitan only, Yosemite works perfectly!) Other: M.2 disk does not require ANY specific action on BIOS or OSX USB does not require any specific kext apart from the config.plist patches OSX Sleep/Wake is NOT working properly - Radeon times out In order to use Display Port I had to modify Rampagedev SSDT GFX0 section from: "@0,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x08, 0x00, 0x00 }, "@1,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x08, 0x00, 0x00 }, "@2,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x08, 0x00, 0x00 }, "@3,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x08, 0x00, 0x00 }, to: "@0,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x04, 0x00, 0x00 }, "@1,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x08, 0x00, 0x00 }, "@2,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x02, 0x00, 0x00 }, "@3,connector-type", Buffer (0x04) { 0x00, 0x02, 0x00, 0x00 }, In order to fake MacPro6,1 AMD FirePro300 Video card you can add the following item in clover Info.plist under the KextsToPatch section: Hope this helps!! Andrea X99_Injector.kext.zip config.plist.zip SSDT-1.aml.zip
20. Hi guys, my laptop Hackintosh works great (1st in signature). Has even more battery life than Windows in the same computer. I’ve successfully achieved native iGPU and CPU power management, so that helps a lot. My NVIDIA card is disabled as this is an Optimus enabled laptop. That also helped achieve a lot more battery. Last but not least I am using a little kext from this forum called DisableTurboBoostBattery which cuts down the processor SpeedSteping capability when it is on battery power only, effectively reducing the processor throttling, as well as the power consumption, thus giving me more battery life. I also have CoconutID installed, so I can check the battery life span, cycles, and the current capacity, comparing with the original. A little problem with the program is that the battery temperature sensor reports -273,1ºC, which is a bit cold hahah Any way to get those sensors to work? Apart from the normal measures like disabling WiFi and BT, and reducing brightness, what other tips do you sages of this forum recommend to increase my lovely Hackintosh’s battery life? I am open to trying any suggestion given! Thanks in advance!
21. Hi I'm running 10.6.8 and on every version of OSX the CPU speed scales down from 1.6GHz to 800MHz when the AC power cord is unplugged and running on battery. This was confirmed by GeekBench. I'm pretty sure this is to do with Intel SpeedStep but there's no option in the BIOS to disable it. VoodooPowerMini, VoodooBattery and NullCPUPowerManagement are installed but the problem still remains. Any ideas on how to resolve this issue? Is something like CoolBook to set a fixed, specific CPU speed the only option? Thanks
22. Hi all, new user here. I followed the shilohh guide i7-4930k-asus-rampage-iv-extreme-32gb-ram-gtx-770-4gb-success(and some other guides fresh installing) and everything works great but my cpu is flat at 1.2Mhz. I tried every guide here, in olarila and in "others" but nothing works. Surely I'm doing something wrong but I cannot guess what it is. Also tried nullcpu etc.. My specs are: Rampage IV Extreme i7 3930k Gtx 980 Mac OS X 10.12.6 I made my own SSDT too. C1E is enabled. I leave my Clover Folder here in case someone can shed some light because I'm starting to be desperate. Thank you in advance Cheers CLOVER.zip

24. Hi all, I've got 10.6.8 running on my desktop, which has an EVGA X58 board with a Core i7 (specifically the EVGA 131-GT-E767-TR and the Intel Core i7-950. I used ##### to install, and I've got everything working so far, except for speedstep. The i7 makes my tiny apartment pretty hot running at 3 GHz nonstop. The computer will not boot unless NullCPUPowerManagement.kext is in /E/E. If I remove it, I get a kernel panic (error 13, general protection) from AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext as soon as darwin starts booting. This is what I have in /Extra to get a booting system: sh-3.2# ls -lh /Extra/Extensions total 0 drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102B Jan 7 2011 ALC8xxHDA.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102B May 14 2011 FakeSMC.kext drwxr-xr-x 3 root wheel 102B Aug 29 2009 IOAHCIBlockStorageInjector.kext sh-3.2# cat /Extra/smbios.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd">'>http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>Mac Pro</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro3,1</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F42C88C8</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>G88451235J4</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>######.tonymacx86.com</string> </dict> </plist> sh-3.2# cat /Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>arch=x86_64 busratio=23 npci=0x2000 PCIRootUID=1</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32@60</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>2</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Quiet Boot</key> <string>No</string> </dict> </plist> In S/L/E I've added ALC892HDA.kext (to enable audio) PHXCD.kext (for USB 3.0) AppleRTL8169Ethernet.kext (to /S/L/E/IONetworkingFamily.kext/Contents/Plugins) The rest I accomplished by patching my DSDT, as described here. However, I get the same kernel panic without NullCPUPowerManagement regardless of whether I use my DSDT or additional kexts. I also get the panic regardless of whether or not I use 32 or 64 bit or include or busratio=23 in my boot.plist. I've tried disabling unused controllers and ports in my BIOS. I've also set my speedstep options to "Enabled" and "C1E" in my BIOS, and set HPET to "Enabled" and "64 bit", as recommended in other posts I've read. My BIOS is currently updated to the latest version, and speedstepping works fine on this machine in Windows and Linux. I've also tried EvoSpeedStep.kext, but I get the same panic. This panic seems common with EVGA X58 boards, and there was some interesting discussion about the issue by d00d, banini_jeque, and others in these threads: Vanilla Speedstep on EVGA X58 SLI EVGA X58 Speedstep attempts with bios version >= 44 Evga X58 Native Powermanagement With Bios 44 And Newer Evga X58 Native Powermanagement With Bios 44 And Newer270-WS-W555 DSDT native power management modifications I tried everything mentioned in those threads, but nothing worked. No one ever seemed to come up with a solution. This thread at InfiniteMac seems to be the most comprehensive, but in OP, it states: Since all those threads are over a year old, I was wondering if anyone else had managed to get this working since then. Thanks guys!
