  1. Hello all,I have successfully gotten my Hackintosh working 99 percent. The remaining issue that I am running into is that my system will randomly kernel panic upon a user issued shutdown or reboot WHEN I have either a usb sound card or usb headset plugged into any of my USB ports (both 2.0 and 3.0). If I remove the headset, it will power down with no issues. Does anyone have any suggestions? My system is as follows:MacOS 10.14 MojaveGigabyte H370 HD38400 i5 Coffee LakeRadeon RX 580 sound cardFixed Solution Use this folder for serie 100/200/300 https://olarila.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=28&t=8222 reboot and extract one send_me for full dsdt patch by MaLd0n --Run_Me RunMe.app
  2. Hello People, I have a dual-boot system with both Win10 and MacOS on separate drives. MacOS on an SSD while Windows is on a standard laptop HD. At first it was working fine and I haven't thought much of it but recently MacOS started acting weird. The first thing I noticed was that Clover somehow "forgot" my primary boot drive. This wasn't a huge issue though, as it was booting just fine once I hit enter on the drive selected. I updated Windows 10 to a newer build, however, I did all of this with the SSD drive unplugged just to be sure. Now Windows is working properly while MacOS is having some quite frustrating errors which make it impossible for me to work... Anyway, the problems are the following: - random reboots - apps freeze or won't start just "bounce" - internet not working(eventhough every other device connects just fine) - system is laggy overall I have tried emptying NVRAM int Terminal but I only got a message saying 'Error clearing firmware variables'. I've been searching for solutions on the web for the issue at hand but struggled to find one... I would really appreciate some help. I attached my config.plist down below. If more information is required, please let me know. Thank you!! config.plist
  3. Good morning, I've the following pieces of hardware: - i7 6700K - GTX 1080 - Asus Z170 Deluxe - NVME hard drives Yesterday I've successfully completed a High Sierra installation (I can't migrate to Mojave due to missing NVIDIA web drivers) but the system (even though it works correctly) seems to show a kernel panic at every shutdown/reboot. Please find the RunMe.app report attached. A couple of notes: - I've installed the audio kexts through the acidanthera AppleALC procedure - I've generated the SSDT with pikessdt script - Nvidia web drivers have been installed with the vulgo/webdriver.sh script that requires the WhateverGreen and the ngfxcompat=1 boot argument - AirportBrcmFixup.kext, BrcmFirmwareRepo.kext and BrcmPatchRAM2.kext have been used to unlock the full potential of the integrated Wi-Fi card - I've tried to clean nvram and motherboard CMOS with no avail - I've tried to update Clover to the latest version but it always results in an unbootable system It's a pity because everything seems to work correctly (USB ports, graphics, Wifi card, Continuity and so on. I haven't tried sleep but I don't use it anyway ) but this crash is fairly annoying. Thank you very much, Alesss *tries summoning @MaLd0n for some help * Send me Ales-iMac.zip
  4. Hi there, Very exciting to join the this form. A friend helps me built my new iMac Pro couples weeks ago. It's always rebooted by kernel panic when I'm working or even using Chrome. 5. Hi to all! I've installed Yosemite on: - i5 4690 - ASRock H87M Pro4 (with intel ethernet I219-V) (IntelMausiEthernet, AppleIntelE1000 and RehabMan for I219V kexts) - 8gb ddr3 RAM - 1tb hard disk If I disable I219-V from BIOS, when I shutdown it, don't reboots (tested with all kexts) If I enable I219-V from BIOS, when I shutdown it, the system reboots. How can I fix this? Thanks!
  6. Hello Community, I am encountering a strange problem. I want to do a clean vanilla install of 10.7 Lion, but the installer quits on me after kext load. As soon as the kext load is done I see a flicker of the Apple boot screen and then the system restarts. Seems like some missing kernel, but I suppose I'm wrong. I tried distros and I made my own boot drive. No difference. The weird thing is, a couple of weeks ago, I did the same without any problems. I tried to upgrade to 10.8, but the graphics don't seem to like me there. So I opted for a clean new install of 10.7 The 10.8 installer loads up fine, the 10.7 Installer doesn't. I had a Bios update then, reverted back to the old one, but it didn't work either. Any input is very well appreciated. Thanks!
Saluti e grazie a tutti dsdt.zip
  8. Arg... Losing my hair over this one! I can't seem to get the installer running on my PC. (Specs at bottom of post) I've tried both iAtkos v7 and the hazard distros. Same EXACT problem. I get to Loading Darwin x86, then my PC restarts. I put it into verbose mode to see what came up, and I get past about 5 lines, then I see a little pause. After that 3 lines come up, each saying that ahci or something, telling me that it was detected. Those three lines only come up for a fraction of a second, and then the computer reboots to do the exact same thing. -THING I'VE TRIED- cpus=1 and 2 busratio=10 and 20 and 21 and 40 -x -f -s (also various combinations of the above) disabled ahci in bios disabled S.M.A.R.T. disabled NIC disabled Floppy and IDE -End THINGS I've TRIED- Specs: System Manufacturer: BIOSTAR Group System Model: A780L BIOS: Default System BIOS Processor: AMD Athlon™ II X2 250 Processor (2 CPUs), ~3.0GHz Memory: 4096MB RAM --------------- Display Devices --------------- Card name: NVIDIA GeForce GT 520 Manufacturer: NVIDIA Chip type: GeForce GT 520 DAC type: Integrated RAMDAC Device Type: Full Device Device Key: Enum\PCI\VEN_10DE&DEV_1040&SUBSYS_321419DA&REV_A1 Display Memory: 2514 MB Dedicated Memory: 978 MB Shared Memory: 1535 MB --------------- Can anyone help me? 9. If anyone can help me with this I'd be very grateful! I installed the latest Niresh distro (Mavericks) on my customac. I used all default BIOS (Or UEFI) settings except AHCI on, virtualisation off, and I enabled all legacy support options and disabled intergrated graphics. The distro installed absolutely fine, no arguments needed and no errors. It seems to boot fine too, no flags needed and it boots into the initial set-up screen, where everything seems to work perfectly. It doesn't hang or anything, there are no problems as far as I can tell. Then, about 1 minute into booting the OS (exactly a minute or so every time), it freezes for 2 seconds or so and then reboots the machine. There are no crash logs on reboot. I'm pretty sure it's not my hardware as I've got a Windows 7 install which has worked perfectly for years, and 10.8.3 worked fine with no crashed. Any quick fixes or ideas what the issue could be? Thanks in advance!! ~Luke Extra Info - I've tried virtualisation on, integrated gpu on, hpet on & off; no avail.
  10. got my 10.7.3 running via Niresh installer. i noticed that if i soft restart my system, i get a kernel panic and when i hard restart it, i get another KP. but on the 3rd hard restart, boot goes as normal. regarding the shutdown problem, i just noticed it this morning. after powering on my PC after shutting it down last night, it hangs after the grey Apple logo and when I do a hard restart it, my PC would just turn off and on without reaching POST. boot only went as normal after I unplugged it from the power source. any help please. thanks! i'll attach my screenshot of the KP when i reach home.
  11. Hi, I have built my Hackintosh in 2012 succesfully with MountainLion 10.8.6 I used two monitors with GTX-650 ti ( HDMI & DVI ) with no problem. Now with the same Hackintosh I moved to El Capitan 10.11.6 ( Clean Install / Clover ) The install and Post Instalation went OK , but when I restart and tried to boot I got REBOOT LOOPS all the time, It was very frustrating.. After a lot research and trial & error , I finally got it work ( No reboot Loops anymore ) by Enabling Nvidia Eject ( something like Graphics Enabler=YES) I finally managed to boot normaly to El Capitan. BUT now, I cannot use both monitors. The only port that works now is the DVI port . I have also downloadd latest CUDA ( not web drivers ) but with no luck . If I remove the EjectNvidia option I know that both monitors gonna work , but then Im gonna have reboot loops again Is there any other alternative solution to make both monitors work ? Mobo:Z77X-UD5H CPU:Intel Core i7-3770K Graphics:GeForce GTX 650 Ti I finally found the solution ! I managed to find and install the correct Web drivers for invidia 6xx series for El capitan . Then I dissabled the Inject nvidia , and boom ! I have both monitors and NO reboot loops . Also in About rhis Mac panel , the graphics card is apearing in the correct way ( GTX 640 ti 2000 mb) When I first build the Hackintosh in mountain lion, NO drivers were needed - ONLY CUDA BUT now with El Capitan, the WEB Nvidia Drivers are essential .
  12. So after installing Lion on my new Hackintosh it works perfectly for awhile. But after about 20 minutes, or up to 30 minutes; I get the error "You must restart your computer" the screen slowly fades to grey etc. Any idea what's going on? CPU: i7-2600 GPU: Nvidia GT 530 1GB HDD: 1TB Caviar Green RAM: 12GB DDR3 1333 MOBO: ASUS P8H67-M Installed flawlessly and boots up without a problem. The only issue I have, is it doing this after a small amount of time? I can feel that I am almost there! After crashing I sometimes lose my sound also, I have no idea why but it just doesn't initialise with the computer. This only happens after my PC has crashed :/ EDIT: This only seems to be really happening when I am torrenting something, using either uTorrent or Transmission. So it seems to be something to do with the hard drive... I have no idea what is going on... Any ideas?
  13. Hey guys, since I cannot find a solution to my problem anywhere, I think it is time once again to start a thread and ask you. As the title says, Mavericks won't shut down completely. It just gets to the point where my screens have turned off, but fans, blu-ray drive, etc. are still running, forcing me to manually hit the power button for 4 seconds. Interestingly restart works just fine (restart fix is applied, but I think it would even work without). Also my shutdown log is apparently ok. Your help would be greatly appreciated! Lukas
  14. So I decided to install some new kexts which were cpumonitor gpumonitor acpimonitor Now on boot, I get a kernel panic, I cant boot into safe mode verbose mode or single user mode. safe mode restarts, verbose mode restarts and single user mode doesnt let me type anything. Double reboot always required

Hey guys, I got Yosemite - OS X 10.10 (14A261i) - up and running on my PC (Asus P5B, Core2Quad8200 @ 2Ghz, ATI 4890) but I'm having this strange behavior: I always have to reboot (or start the system) twice, because the first time it always hangs after the boot1 screen (just before the clover interface appears). The system freezes with the blank black page and a stuck cursor. Any suggestions to avoid it would be very appreciated. Thanks! Edit: Clover Version: 2721
  16. Hello, Some time ago, I decided to build a Hackintosh. I made the install media for Yosemite and Mavericks through Linux using this guide. But when I try to boot, I get the Apple logo and then it just reboots, and verbose mode just shows scrolling text and blackens out. I also tried the -x flag and GraphicsEnabler=no, to no avail. My signature contains the computer's specs. It's a laptop. @joatoche
  17. So I am running Snow leopard and whenever I am trying to boot into mac and I get the Chameleon screen, I would click the boot into mac thing and chameleon flashes and stops dead and reboots my computer. If I boot to my Windows 7 drive, no problem everything works fine. I tried making a bootable chameleon usb and the same thing happened, I choose to boot into mac and it flashes the screen then reboots. What is even more curious is that i can boot into mac if i use ModCd to boot into it with no problems at all. I can boot into windows with no problems at all. Thanks for looking. computer: samsung series 9 ultrabook np900x3c intel core i5 3rd gen intel 4000 graphics
  18. Hello all, I am trying to get snow leopard to install on my laptop, and I cannot even get it to boot up. I am using Nawcoms boot cd (0.3.2) and a retail cd (10.6). After the mod cd loads the kernel and say to press enter, I press enter and my computer immediately reboots. I have tried many different flags, and it always reboots. I have an Acer Aspire 4530, with an AMD Athlon X2 (QL-60), and a NVIDIA chipset. My graphics card is an NVIDIA GEForce 9100M G. Help would be really appreciated.
  19. So I've successfully installed Mountain Lion on my laptop, so I'm pretty certain it's not the install media. Here's the issue: When I first boot, before I can't even get to the installation screen, all of the installation kexts load and then it will immediately reboot - prior to the kernel being loaded. I have Lion working perfectly on this PC as well, so it's a bit odd. All of the bios settings are set up correctly so I don't think it's that (could be wrong). My motherboard is Asus P6X58D Premium and the rest of my specs are in the signature. Any thoughts?
  20. I have a I5-3570K CPU and a GA-Z77M-D3h-MVP mb and a ATI HD6450. The HD6450 driver loaded with QE/CI with no patch or edit and sleep and wake works as native. But after I removed this HD6450 GFX card and use the HD4000 built in with I5-3570k I cannot use the VGA and cannot wake the computer from sleep, after I click sleep the pc goes to sleep but a few seconds later the PC powers on automatically and reboots automatically with no intent. I want to find out what`s going on. Any help will be appreciated. NVidia GTX 970 panic on shutdown

Hello everyone, I'm now working on my first (and somewhat accidental) Hackintosh. I just built my first PC and couldn't get along with Linux, so decided to try and install Mac OS X. So far, almost everything is working great, I have but one problem: Shutdown (or reboot) is rather abrupt and when I log back in, I get the message that my "Mac restarted because of a problem". The error report (see below) mentions a kernel panic. Although it is relatively minor inconvenience, this abrupt shutdown can't be good. I've already tried: Reinstalling the NVidia drivers. Messing with settings in Clover I don't really understand. It would be great if you could help to diagnose and/or fix this problem. Please tell me what other information I would need to post, or what steps I could take to diagnose the problem myself. Thanks!
  22. I wrote this "somewhere else" as well, but I thought this might be interesting here too... Haswell/Mavericks Troubles Many people with Haswell laptops (and some desktops) have been running into a new problem Apple has thrown at us. The new Mavericks kernel has power management moved down into the kernel. For this reason, my MacBookAir6,2 running Mavericks does not load AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement. In the past, we patched AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement to avoid the kernel writing to locked CPU MSRs (machine specific registers, credit RevoGirl). Some BIOSes lock some of these registers (the common one is 0xE2, I don't know if others can be locked as well). The problem is that touching these registers when they are locked causes an unexpected fault and you get a KP. It seems this KP is so early, that the kernel is unprepared to handle it, and the computer reboots. Some people have found that if they use a kernel modified for AMD systems, they are able to boot. I tried this and it indeed works. But other things break... I was able to install (using that kernel), but I couldn't boot with caches (always had to use "-f"). Booting with caches caused a KP. In addition, there was no power management. CPU was running at x24 always. But... I decided to see what I could do by building my own kernel. My main thought was to make some changes, see if I could avoid touching locked MSRs with modifications to the source code with the idea to fold the changes into a patch. So, I downloaded the kernel source from opensource.apple.com, found out how to build it (thanks google!), and tried to use it. On first try, I didn't make any changes... and I was surprised that I was able to start the installer with the newly built kernel! No changes and it just works. WTF? Turns out the sources for the kernel do not include the parts for xnu power management. Since it isn't there, it doesn't cause the problem. But of course, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement expects for PM to be provided by the kernel, so it doesn't work. It doesn't crash, but still no power management. Since 10.8.5 does not have this change, I decided to try the (patched) AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement from 10.8.5 (v214). And that actually works. I don't really like doing rollbacks like that, but it is probably a workable solution until something better comes along. I still think it might be possible to patch the kernel to avoid the MSR writing problem. See updates below on patches. Update 2013-11-25 With some prodding by Pike's blog, I went back to my original patch that I had attempted a number of weeks ago, and I found the mistakes I had made with my patch (this was prior to building the kernel from sources). The details are on my blog here: http://racerrehabman.wordpress.com/2013/11/25/maverickshaswell-kernel-patch-for-early-reboot/ As a result, I'm now running a patched mach_kernel (not built from source, but patched from retail), MacBookPro11,2 smbios.plist, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement.kext, ssdt.aml generated with Pike's script (plugin-type=1). Of course, AppleIntelCPUPowerManagement does not load, as all CPU power management is handled by the kernel (xcpm). In other words, it is running just as a real Haswell MacBookPro would as far as power management. The only "problem" that I can see, is that I'm not getting pstates between x8 and x24, much like the results with iMac14,2. I wonder if something is missing (taking the place of X86PlatformPlugin plists?) that the bootloader/DSDT/SSDT should be injecting to inform the kernel's xcpm behavior? More investigation is needed. I will investigate by watching the behavior of my real MacBookAir6,2 and perhaps a friend's real MacBookPro11,x. Update 2013-11-26 It appears that having a jump in pstates from idle to nominal (in this case x8 to x24) is by design. It appears to be intentional. I loaded AppleIntelCPUPowerManagementInfo.kext on my MacBookAir6,2 and it too jumps from idle (x8) to nominal (x17) with no states in between. Update 2013-12-30 By borrowing some files from a real Mavericks 10.9.1 install on a real MacBookPro11,2, I was able to achieve states in between idle and nominal: AICPUPMI: CPU P-States [ 8 (17) 24 26 29 30 31 32 33 34 ] GPU P-States [ 17 ] Note new state 17. This was booting via Clover with MacBookPro11,2 smbios and custom SSDT using ssdtPRgen.sh. In order to do this, I borrowed from the Mac: /System/Library/CoreServices/PlatformSupport.plist /System/Library/Extensions/IOPlatformPluginFamily.kext /mach_kernel (version 13.0.2, patched for xcpm) I'm not sure the kernel replacement was necessary, but I did it anyway. I think this means that when a future version of OS X arrives that has true support for MacBookPro11,2, things will work a bit better. I find it interesting that an owner of a a real MacBookPro11,2 cannot do a fresh install of 10.9.1 from the App Store and expect their machine to work as it should. Here's how to patch it: # in Terminal, assuming your USB is called Installer cp /Volumes/Installer/mach_kernel ~/Desktop/mach_kernel_backup cp /Volumes/Installer/mach_kernel ~/Desktop/mach_kernel cd ~/Desktop # now copy/paste one or more of the perl patches from above into Terminal perl ...[from above]... mach_kernel perl ...[from above]... mach_kernel # patched mach_kernel is now at ~/Desktop/mach_kernel sudo cp mach_kernel /Volumes/Installer/mach_kernel After you install OS X to your HDD, you will have vanilla mach_kernel on the HDD, leading to the same instant reboot problem. 23. Hello My wife's early 2009 Snow Leopard iMac has started failing to boot properly and I'm looking for some troubleshooting tips. Booting from cold, it gets past the logon screen and starts loading the desktop. It's quite slow at this point, but does load all the (hundreds of!) icons on the desktop. It also tries to re-open Firefox which had a lot of tabs open. Initially it would load a Firefox window but not complete loading the internals. On one boot I think I managed to close Firefox and now it still tries to load but just displays "Firefox" in the title bar with no windows. I can initially access a few menus, spotlight, Finder, the dock, but any further action results in a beach ball for these, and they can't be accessed again. I was able to navigate Finder to try to launch Terminal but just it just gave me the beach ball. I've left it like this for about half an hour but it doesn't get any further and I have to force shutdown (long press of power button). I tried booting to safe mode (holding down S on startup) but the end result was the same. I've been able to boot to a live ubuntu USB disk and can access files on the hard disk, so I've started a backup. We have a time machine backup but it's not that recent. I'm hoping it's just a corrupt file, but suspect it's the hard disk starting to fail. What's the best way to troubleshoot this? Thanks

Now i have another one: I successfully installed El capitan, pun when i boot from clover (EFI USB with clover boot) and i select the drive that i installed el capitan, it boots up, i select Location, after i select keyboard and when im at the selection of wifi or ethernet i select ethernet. I put the manualy address, next the router and the subnet mask and finaly the DNS. when i click continue, this is what happens all the time: (21sec video) Any help? PS. when i chose "no internet connection" no rebooting. all ok.
  25. Running OSX 10.10.4 on a following setup: mobo: Gigabyte x79 up4 (rev1.0 latest bios version F7) cpu: i7 3820 gpu: Gigabyte Nvidia 970 mini itx 4gb (latest bios version F4) ram: 32gb (8*4gb) 1600MHz CL10 Kingston HyperX Fury hdd: 2*2tb WD Caviar Black + 4tb WD Black for storage ssd: Samsung Evo 850 Pro 256gb(windows) + Crucial M100 256gb(osx)[planning to switch soon for pcie ssd] bootloader: clover v2 r3253 bootflags: -v kext-dev-mode=1 pcirootuid=1 npci=0x2000 nvda-drv=1 nvidia web drivers: 346.02.02f03 Reboots when 2 or more displays are connected at startup. It reaches the end of verbose script and reboots. Once I was even able to type in my password at login screen, but usually it reboots just a millisecond before reaching the login screen so I'm not able to see the exact error message. I can attach other displays when fully booted and everything works just fine - Nvidia web drivers are successfully loaded and so far haven't noticed any flickering or other kind of distorsions. Anyone familiar with this kind of issue? I also added a bootlog from a successful boot via Clover Configurator, somewhy LogEveryBoot=Yes LogLocation=/Library/Logs/CloverEFI didn't produce any logs also clover automatically chose Mac Pro 4,1 SMBios if that makes any difference Thank you in advance
