  1. Hi All! First time poster! Hope everyone can help!! I've been following Section 2 of http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/os-x-10-8-mountain-lion/ to install Clover using UEFI and currently I can't boot when I get to the Clover screen. I see the large button telling me to boot into the Installation Partition but when I press enter the screen just flashes. I've modified the options in "Options" to the bootflags that the website recommended but nothing helps. I'm not sure if the problem is because of my 4930k being an Ivy Bridge-E or because my R9 270 only works with fixes on Mavericks. If anyone can help it would be great! I'm happy to chat with anyone! (of course I chose the USB as the destination but I was jus wondering)

    dual monitor problems

I am having trouble getting dual monitors to work. usually one in every three to four boots will fire up with both monitors working no problem. Two out of three will boot to white screen with or without mouse on one of the screens. I can boot with one monitor no problem on hdmi port. Trying to boot my other monitor on its own does not work through dvi port. If I boot with one monitor plugged in to hdmi, let it boot to osx then plug in second dvi monitor it works. ?? Anyone have any insight as to what I may need to do for this? running mavericks 10.9.2 ati gigabyte r9 270 gpu amd driver pack installed Thanks!!
  5. Hello, I am having problems with my graphics card (AMD Radeon R9 270). It is mainly the problem with the card performance. I am getting a very undesirable performance. However, QE/CI works properly and all graphical animations work out of the box. The main problem is with the performance i got in Cinebench R15. i only get 29fps is OS X whereas in Windows i get more than 70fps without any hassle. I understand that OS X have problems with OpenGL but I've tested my friend's card (AMD Radeon 7870) and that card performs well (68fps OpenGL Cinebench R15 score). Here is my specs: Processor: AMD FX-8320 @ 3.5GHz Motherboard: Asus Sabertooth 990FX R2.0 RAM: Kingston HyperX Fury 16GB DDR3 1600MHz GPU: Asus Radeon R9 270 DCUII OC 2GB GDDR5 256bit I made some researches and tried to patch DSDT but that doesn't work. I might did it wrongly but how can i know. Since I am using AMD platform there's no way that I can use Clover Injection method (AFAIK). Now, I'm using chameleon as a bootloader. I also tried some of patch like this: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/4040-amd-radeon-hd-7xxx-r9-series-graphics-drivers-for-mavericks-109x/ and this: http://www.hackintoshosx.com/files/file/3711-amd-radeon-r9-270-series/ and this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/303186-how-to-modification-of-amd-fb-clover-injection/?do=findComment&comment=2093026 and this: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/294498-amd-r9-270-problem/ and many more that i can barely recall. I have also edited the S/L/E/AMD7000Controller.kext and S/L/E/AMDX4000.kext and put in my device ID (0x68111002) but that also don't work. Here are the pastebin links to the info.plist files for your reference if I might missed anything: AMD7000Controller.kext: http://pastebin.com/e2Uh3KHm AMDRadeonX4000.kext: http://pastebin.com/ivKP88mq Here are the terminal result of my commands: lspci -nnvd 0x1002: | grep -B2 Subsystem : http://pastebin.com/HaaLFCgi sudo kextstat | grep AMD: http://pastebin.com/jiKG7T6p ioreg | grep ATY: http://pastebin.com/vyep36Aw I also attached some screenshots for your reference. P/S: I am using Niresh 10.9.0 and upgraded to 10.9.5 using Combo Update.

    r9 270 dual screens

So I am fairly new to this hackintosh thing, I have managed to get my system up and running with chameleon loader. I am trying to get dual displays to work, but am having limited success in doing so. About every three boots mavericks will load for me no problem on dual screens, the other two times out of three it will boot to white screen on both monitors. If I plug in one monitor to my HDMI port on GPU and boot mavericks then plug in secondary monitor to DVI port after everything has loaded they will both work. So far I have tried using Vlada's driver package, And also tried using all different framebuffer personalities for AMD HD 7xxx. Using any other framebuffer had the exact same results where every three or so boots would work with white screen the rest of the time. Has anyone had this problem? or does anyone know how I would go about fixing it? Thank you My Hackintosh build is as follows: Asus z87 pro mobo intel i7 3771 CPU Gigabyte R9 270 GPU using chameleon bootloader Mavericks 10.9.2 EDIT: well dont i feel silly. Sometimes it is best to keep it simple. Turns out that by making my LG monitor the primary display with HDMI input, and the secondary monitor DVI everything works great. Seems I had tried everything else under the sun from different cables to edited dsdt. Lesson learned
  7. Hey, so I just installed Sierra using the iAtkos SR and everything works except my Graphics... It shows that I have only 5MB Video memory.. My card is AMD Radeon R9 270. Tried different stuff when installing, like different framebuffers like Hamachi, Futomaki, Dayman, but nothing seems to be working. Tried installing extra stuff with a "AMD Radeon GPU Injector Tool" but nothing worked. The weird thing is, everything worked flawlessly on Yosemite. I even updated without problems via the AppStore, and I never did anything special for my graphics back then as far as I remember. I was running a pretty stable hackintosh on Yosemite (It was iAtkos too), but wanted to upgrade. Has someone with the same graphics card encountered this issue, and fixed it? Thank you in advance!
