    Intel HD 620 sem QE/CI

Opa galera, boa noite! Beleza? EFI.zip
  2. I've been trying for a few days now to get full 2D/3D acceleration working on my 10.10.2 hackintosh, which is running a Sapphire HD6450 Flex 1GB. Very few people have this card, it seems, and I've taken to writing my own connector info strings for it. After a TON of trial and error, I managed to write a working set of connector strings: DVI-I (Physical Port 0, maybe port 1 or 2 as mapped on the card itself) 04 00 00 00 14 02 00 00 00 01 01 00 10 00 01 03 ConnTypes |ATY,CTRLFLG|ATY,FEATURE|TX|EN|HP|ID -- HDMI (HDMI-A, as radeonbiosdecode and redsock call it) 00 08 00 00 04 02 00 00 00 01 02 00 12 04 02 01 ConnTypes |ATY,CTRLFLG|ATY,FEATURE|TX|EN|HP|ID -- DVI-D (Actually DisplayPort according to the decoding tools) 00 04 00 00 04 03 00 00 00 01 00 00 21 03 01 04 ConnTypes |ATY,CTRLFLG|ATY,FEATURE|TX|EN|HP|ID -- 040000001402000000010100100001030008000004020000000102001204020100040000040300000001000021030104 You might notice that the Hotplug IDs are duplicated, but I have not yet run into problems because of that, probably because I don't frequently unplug and replug my monitors. There's a whole story behind how I figured these out, lots of notes in textedit, and quite a bit of frustration with the guides I've found (RampageDev's guide in particular), but that's another post entirely. That said, part of it is relevant here. Based on a post on TonyMac, I attempted to patch the Pithecia framebuffer personality. Prior to 10.10, it seems that Pithecia had ConnectorInfo strings for three ports. I tried for a long while to get my card working with this framebuffer, and the best I could achieve was getting DVI-D (white port) to work with HDMI and DVI-I being treated as the same connector, duplicating their output. It was only after a bunch of testing that I found Vlada. had managed to get a dump of the 10.10.1 framebuffer ConnectorInfo entries. This confirmed my suspicion that ati-personality-pl v0.15 doesn't work with the latest version of the Xcode CLI tools. The Pithecia framebuffer, unfortunately, only has a ConnectorInfo count of 2 in 10.10.2. It also happens to be the fastest framebuffer I've tried with this card. I've been using the Clover ATI Connectors Data patch method, and there seems to be something kind of funny with this approach. With the connectors I wrote, I can patch and use any framebuffer with 3+ connectors. I've tried Bulrushes, Cattail, Duckweed, Ipomoea, Juncus, Osmunda, and Pondweed, and I've found that none of them offer very different QE/CI performance from the stock RadeonFrameBuffer. They all score around 80 in NovaBench, which I think is at least slightly odd. Why isn't there any variance depending on what framebuffer I use? Does it have something to do with the ConnectorInfo strings I wrote? Is there something wrong with them? Pithecia is the only framebuffer personality I've managed to patch (by replacing its ConnectorInfo and, ostensibly, the first line of the next framebuffer personality with my own ConnectorInfo strings) that doesn't perform exactly like RadeonFrameBuffer, but at the expense of a monitor. Perhaps it's the fact it only drives two monitors that gives me the performance boost. Maybe this GPU just sucks. Anyhow, there are a couple approaches I see, potentially. If there's some way to patch Pithecia so that the system reads three lines of ConnectorInfo from it, I could confirm whether or not it really is the best framebuffer personality for this card. Perhaps there's a way to use the old ATI6000Controller Kext in 10.10.2, but I imagine that's probably a super hacky solution liable to break upon an update. What's the best option here for what I'm trying to do? I'm kind of concerned I'm attempting to take the wrong route for what I'm trying to accomplish because I don't really know what my options are.
  3. Hey all, I have successfully installed Yosemite on my Lenovo G570 Core i5-2450M with Intel HD 3000. I am getting full resolution 1360x768 on my external monitor [detected] by patching AppleIntelSNBGraphics.kext. I am using Chameleon boot loader. But I am neither getting QE nor CI on my external vga monitor!!! Please help. Please someone help.
  4. Hello folks! I'm having some graphics glitches with my GTX 770 on OS X Mavericks 10.9. My boot args are -v GraphicsEnabler=Yes PCIRootUID=1 The glitch seems to happen mostly in graphical transitions. Instead of a smooth transition the graphics blink rapidly during transition animations then return to normal when there is no transition movement. Ive attempted to use pandora's box to patch the video kexts with no avail. Any ideas on how to go about resolving this issue and getting full graphics acceleration in 10.9? Relevant hardware: EVGA GTX 770 2gb (Read as the GK104 in 'About This Mac') Gigabyte z87-HD3 i7 4770k OSX Mavericks 10.9 (issue persists in both DP1 and DP2) Any help is much appreciated! thanks in advance!
  5. Hi. These days I've installed my first hackintosh on an Acer Aspire 5742G-384G32Mnkk. I tried to follow various tutorials around the web but I haven't already found a way to use this video card on my system. Is there a way to get it work? Notes: - I use Clover as my default bootloader - Mavericks detects correctly my card on System Information as 0x68E4 (but it's not present on AMD* kexts) - System Information detects correctly my card model (ATI Radeon HD 6370M Series) but it says that I have only 4MB of VRAM (my card have 512MB of dedicated memory) - On verbose boot, OS X detects that I have the following cards: Controller: Intel PCH (vendor ID: 8086, device ID: 3b56) Controller: ATI (Unknown) (vendor ID: 1002, device ID: aa68) - I don't know how to build a custom EDID, Framebuffer Thanks for your support!

Hey guys, I decided to create a new topic because the old one solved most of my issues. I am very sure that my card is being detected properly. It's just one thing: the kexts won't load! In System Information>Software>Extensions, none of the ATI kexts are there! But when I do a verbose boot from Chameleon, it says ATI Mobility Radeon 5400 Hoolock. Sooo...does anyone know why this is happening? Should I use something like ATY_Init?
  7. hey hackintosher, after i upgrade my osx 10.8 to 10.8.2 , the QE not work, but CI is working at my native res. 1366x768. i has add dev id (0x94981002) to ati4600controller and atiradeonx2000 but the QE not work. how to fix this? can someone give me exotic patch for 46xx ? my vga card is ati radeon hd 4650 (0x9498) 1gb . vendor xfx thank for advance. sorry for my english.

    Accelerazione HW GPU

Come posso fare?? Attendo una vostra risposta. Ciao ragazzi
  9. Hi, I've just got a iAtkos El Capitan image according with my hardware. I've installed it and it works, but I can't get Graphics Acceleration working. I've tried to disable the integrated graphic (Intel HD graphics 4600). I've also tried to install NVIDIA drivers for mac, but it still doesn't work. So, guys, do you have any idea about this? Thanks. PD: I'm a bit n00b in this area
  10. Hello guys, I have OS X installed good and all, but I can't get the ATI card to have QE/CI. I've tried all the kexts, injectors, EDIDs, and framebuffers out there. But I think I know why it is happening. My laptop has an integrated graphics card and a discrete one. It has an Intel Graphics card (don't know which one...) and an ATI Mobility Radeon 5470. I cannot disable the Intel card in the BIOS. Is there any way I can disable the Intel card or get both of them to cooperate in OS X?
  11. Built a hackintosh and now you're stumped because Youtube and other Flash media just won't load properly no matter what you try? I had the same problem and Googling leaves a bunch of unanswered questions. Here's what I did: Step 1) Install the most compatible video kext for your build (Even if QE/CI don't work) Step 2) Install most updated version of Adobe Flash Step 3) Install Google Chrome (most updated version) Step 4) Open Google Chrome settings Step 5) At the bottom, click Advanced Settings and uncheck the option for hardware acceleration Step 6) Restart Chrome and open a Flash video, right click it and hit Settings Step 7) Uncheck Flash's option for hardware acceleration Step 8) Restart Chrome again and you should have full Flash support Enjoy!
  12. Hi all, I am starting a little project that might fail but at least worth a try since a lot of people would be happy running iBooks Author on VM ware. I know someone got iWorks08 to work without QE/CI by changing the value of the key SRFAcceleratedCanvas in Defaults.plist to false. I am hoping that this might be possible by editing iBooks Authors .plist files. I went through them looking for above mentioned but could not find it. Does iBooks initiate QE/CI by a different means? Any tip on what to look for or how to disable it?
  13. This guide is for OS X 10.6.4 through to 10.7.0 Introduction: I'm a long time lurker on these forums and over the years have installed osx on lots of pc's all good fun and thought i'd give a little back, There are some poeple who have written good guides and how-to's on EFI strings method for nVidia video card recongnition in OSX, most of them don't cover all the bases and usually focus on a single card or specific setup. My aim in this guide is to be broad in demonstrating installation of all nVidia cards with the EFI string method and also who how to do it with multi card setups too, I aim to show all the necessary commands in the terminal in order for a complete noob to be able to understand and confidently follow along. Please note this guide is only for the EFI string preparation and installation into the apple.com.Boot.plist file. Any thing to do with customisation of KEXTS is not part of this guide, so be sure to check the usual places for custom KEXTs if needed, Some good places to start: www.osx86.net - formerly www.kexts.com wiki.osx86project.org www.insanelymac.com www.projectosx.com and most importantly www.google.com Files needed: gfxutil in.plist -modded but sourced from "agrafuese" from their insanelymac forum guide. textwrangler - google it. IMPORTANT, READ INSTRUCTIONS FROM START TO FINISH BEFORE BEGINNING part one: getting card details use a program called textwrangler, google it, it's an excellent text editor with some features that will make following this guide alot easier for yourself I promise you, Creat a text file on your desktop called whatever, i'll call mine info.txt now copy the corresponding string between the < > below of the Video RAM size your video card has labelled as "video ram": the digit after 0x are multiples of 256, the ones after 0x0 are multiples of 16. <0x08000000> - 128Mb <0x10000000> - 256Mb <0x14000000> - 320Mb <0x20000000> - 512Mb <0x28000000> - 640Mb <0x30000000> - 768Mb <0x38000000> - 896Mb <0x50000000> - 1280Mb <0x60000000> - 1536Mb next choose the type of outputs on the particular card labelled as "connectors": the connector layout: Mainboard side of card / SLI connector side of card <BAAAAAAAAwAMAAAAAAAABwAAAAA=> - DVI-I / DVI-I <BAAAAAAAAQAGAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA=> - VGA / DVI-I <BAAAAAAAAwAEAAAAAAAABwAAAAA=> - DVI-I / VGA now complete part one for your second card if you are going with 2 cards, and remember to keep the details for each card clearly labelled for that card. Part two: getting the card location if your going to use 2 cards, you must do this step twice, starting with your primary card inserted into your PC without the secondary card in the system, then repeat the process with the secondary card in the secondary slot it will occupy with the primary card removed. so in short, get first card location, swap out the card then get the secondary card location. this is how: you need root access, go here to learn how to get it: support.apple.com/kb/ht1528 with your primary or only card installed in the slot you intend to use it in, extract gfxutil to your desktop, open terminal and type: su [hit enter] [enter your root password then hit enter] cd \Users\[your username]\Desktop\ [hit enter] ./gfxutil -f display [hit enter] OK once you enter that last line you should get an outpu on screen like: PciRoot(0x4)/Pci(0x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) label it as "location" copy it by dragin over with your mouse and right click, copy, then paste into you text file "info.txt" you recorded you video card details to, if using 2 cards make sure it's labelled for the card currently in your system then repeat with your second card fitted to it's slot again, only if you going to use 2 cards. Your almost done, your info.txt should read something like this: card a video ram:0x20000000 connectors:BAAAAAAAAwAMAAAAAAAABwAAAAA= location:PciRoot(0x4)/Pci(6x1,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) card b (only if using 2 cards) video ram:0x20000000 connectors:BAAAAAAAAwAMAAAAAAAABwAAAAA= location:PciRoot(0x4)/Pci(0x6,0x0)/Pci(0x0,0x0) part three: modding the in.plist this is the part where you cop over your collected data to the template in.plist file. open it with textwrangler. locate the text "LOCATION" and paste your location info in it's place. locate the text "VRAMINFO" and paste your video ram info in it's place. locate the text "CONNECTORS" and paste your connectors info in it's place. locate the text "VIDEOCARDNAME" and paste your video card name in it's place. <key>model</key> <string>NVIDIA GeForce GTX 275 - 896MB</string> for example. now if your only using one video card you can delete everything after "</dict>" up until the second occurrence of </dict>so there will be a total of 2 x </dict> at the end of the file like this: </dict> </dict> </plist> now procede to part four. If your using 2 video cards, do the same again for card b locate the text "LOCATIONB" and paste your location info in it's place. locate the text "VRAMINFOB" and paste your video ram info in it's place. locate the text "CONNECTORSB" and paste your connectors info in it's place. locate the text "VIDEOCARDNAMEB" and paste your video card name in it's place. <key>model</key> <string>NVIDIA GeForce 8800GT- 512MB</string> for example. part four: this part is where you convert your in.plist to an EFI string. save your info.txt and in.plist. Open terminal again with root access and type: cd /Users/[your username]/Desktop/ ./gfxutil -i xml -o hex ./in.plist ./out.hex ok, now open the out.hex file with textedit, hit Command + A to select all and Command + C to copy to your clipboard. go back to terminal and type: nano /Library/Preferences/SystemConfiguration/com.apple.Boot.plist this opens up the nano text editor, use the arrow keys to go </dict> and enter a line above it indented just like the others above that, and enter: <key>device-properties</key> <string>"PASTE EFI STRING HERE"</string> so when your done it will look like this: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs$ <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1920x1200x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string></string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>ce0700000100000002000000e20300001500000002010c00d041030a04</string> </plist> The EFI string you paste may look wierd but as long as it has no leading or trailing spaces between <string>and</string> you all good. now to save the file, you press Control + X, then hit Y to confirm overwrite of old file. Your done. Shutdown the PC, install all video cards into their slots and Boot the PC, and it should work, if not, try NVEnabler.kext for single cards, or research the forums and OSX HCL pages on the OSX86 Wiki links above. This is AFAIK the only way to get 2 differing NVIDIA cards to work in the same OSX system. NVIDIA EFI Strings - HOWTO.zip
  14. Hi all! Just got this cheap handy 2nd hand Asus X201E notebook. Very light, nice looking so i was thinking - why not turn it into some kind of Air model? I managed to install Mountain Lion 10.8.2, after a couple of days made the graphics run smooth, sound is ok, everything looks almost good BUT no way to watch a video on that little thing. It's either black playback on VLC or all jerky with QT.. after doing some research it looks like i'm still totally lacking the QE/CI function. It was not easy to get the specifications but it seems like being a Sandy Bridge Celeron 847 with Intel HD graphics apparently based on HD2000 chipset. I did the research, I looked over the forums - for a looong time. I installed hundreds of kexts. Still no watchable video.. Apparently you can get graphics acceleration with a HD3000 sandy bridge architecture, or older Arrandale GMA HD graphics but I couldn't get a clear answer for that in-between architecture. So all I'm asking here is a YES (and a solution, please) or a final NO so I can finally get some sleep Help!

    HD 5450 on Mavericks

Anyone having full QE/CI on this device.... It had full QE/CI under 10.8.4 but now it doesn't work not even full resolution. If anyone finds a solution please notify me.
  17. QE/CI on GeForce FX5200/FX5500 based on Leo Ari Wibowo's guide - Requirements: OSx86 Tools NVIDIA Universal Installer Pacifist CoreGraphics Framework 10.5.5 Click HERE to download the PACK! - Instructions: 1. Boot to Leopard with -s -v flags 2. Type these commands: /sbin/fsck -fy /sbin/mount -uw / rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/Ge* rm -R /System/Library/Extensions/NVD* rm -R /System/Library/Extensions.mkext exit 3. DON'T SHUTDOWN/REBOOT YOUR PC! Leopard should boot normally. 4. Open OSx86 Tools > Add EFI String/Boot Flag > GFX Strings > Custom > Name your card (whatever you want) > Your card VRAM (mine is 256 mb) > Your graphics card port (mine have DVI and VGA so i chosen VGA/DVI-I). 5. Now you have an EFI-String! Click on Apply changes to com.apple.Boot.plist. Then, REBOOT. 6. Install NVIDIA Universal Installer. Click Continue, you'll logout and login again. 7. Open OSx86 Tools > Check Repair Permissions, Clear Extensions Caches and Touch Extensions Folder > Run Selected Tasks. Wait and then REBOOT. 8. Now, QE/CI should work, but with some glitches. (See for example System Preferences window) 9. Open the CoreGraphics 10.5.5 Framework Package with Pacifist. Then, Select all the files, Right Click it, Install to default location. Now, REBOOT. If you want, you can also enable Quartz GL (Quartz Extreme 2D) by clicking on OSx86 Tools the button Enable/Disable Quartz GL. Check my Attached File to view my System Profiler. Translucent bar doesn't work because the FX5200/FX5500 are too old ):
  18. Hello All, For the last couple of years the GTX480 has wonderfully gone along pumping out QE/CI - with the top task bar showing transparency wonderfully. Only just noticed that since moving from Maverick that this has now gone? After much hair pulling out - and a completely clean re-install - still nothing? All boots up fine, and no panics either - even running some benchmarks on the graphic card show that all is as should be - just a solid task bar, despite anything I tweak in preferences, etc. So my question to you all is; has anyone else with a GTX480 experienced/noticed this? Thinking of buying a new card - but just want to make sure I'm not going completely mad Any thoughts would be great!
  19. Okay, I installed Intel Graphics. It booted to a black screen and backlight on. Thankfully, I have an iPad app called "LogMeIn" and was able to see my desktop. I went About Mac, Graphic/Display and it said that it was unknown but had only 288MB which is an odd amount of VRAM. so, how do I get a not black screen? Also, after being on for 3 minutes, the screen became garbled and lots of lines intersecting and what not. Fix? Or just delete? -Jugz SCEEN: Taken using Command+shift+3

  21. Longtime, I was trying to enable qe/ci on my laptop (ASUS A55A) with Intel i7 3630QM CPU and its integrated graphic card (Intel HD Graphics 4000). I've Mavericks 10.9.0 installed on it. I tried a lot of ways to enable it, no results; for example, installing kexts, adding and changing parameters in plist, etc. So, please, someone help me . DSDT.txt
  22. Hello, am running sierra on a optiplex 780 with a pny gt 710. I followed a step by step guide here. My machine boots fine and actually shows that the pny 710 is recognized I have attached a link with proof. My issue is when I am doing anything that relates to video it artifacts and slows alot. I understand that this is a cheap graphics card but from what I read online it seems like the other hackintoshes dont have this issue with this card. I am wondering if you have had any similar problems or solutions to this. I also have attached my config file. I asked around on reddit and they said this could be related to the qe/ci. I am pretty new at this so I don't know how to enable this. I have installed the web drivers for 10.12.6 and that hasnt changed anything.
