DiodeCode posted a topic in OSx86 10.10 (Yosemite)Please Help Me! Thanks to all the help from my other forums post my Wi-Fi seems to work fine now! I hope I get that much help here! Anyway my problem is that my Asus K53E with OS X Yosemite 10.10.4 won't boot unless I plug in my USB and choose to boot from my HDD. If I try to do it without my USB it says something like "No Bootable Device Found, Plugin (maybe it said attach) any bootable device and then press any key". Any help is much appreciated.
Dakdot posted a topic in OSx86 10.13 (High Sierra)Hello, all. I recently installed macOS High Sierra (10.13.0, build 17A405) on an APFS partition on my HDD. Everything installed nicely, and I can boot into macOS just fine. That is, until I install Nvidia's web drivers for 17A405, version 3188.8.131.52.15.120 and 3184.108.40.206.15.117. After I installed it, the system no longer boots up to the log in screen. The system will just reset right before where it should get to the log in screen. I booted in verbose, but the text was scrolling too fast for me to read it. So I recorded it in slo-mo, and I can't see an abnormalities. I'll attach a photo of what it looks like right before it resets. Yes, I have NvidiaWeb checked in Clover, and when I boot with nv_disable=1, the same thing happens. Tried to boot with -x, and still no luck. I tried uninstalling the drivers with my iGPU, but it looks like the Intel HD 630 doesn't have support in High Sierra, or at least it won't boot with it. I'm booting with system definition iMac14,2. I've had this card for two years, and have never seen this happen on 10.11 or 10.12. System Intel Core i7-7700k @ 4.2GHz (not overclocked) MSI H110M Gaming motherboard 16GB DDR4 RAM EVGA GTX 970 4GB Any help would be appreciated, thanks! UPDATE: I actually got it to work using some kexts, NvidiaGraphicsFixup and Lilu.
Hey Guys, first topic post! I have a Samsung RF511 (I5 Sandy, 8GB RAM, Intel 3000 graphics) and It will not boot Mavericks without a USB bootloader still inside. I have tried to install Chameleon and Enoch Multiple times to the HDD, but with no apparent luck, however... I think that it has something to do with the F4 Recovery option at the POST or BIOS startup screen , as when I pressed it, It booted up chameleon , I clicked on OS X, and it crashed! So I formatted the HDD and tried again, nothing at all this time! Don't know if this matters but... When the USB is in it boots up but when its out, it gives me a Error: "Reboot with proper boot device, or insert boot device and press a key" If ANYONE knows of a solution, I will be of great appreciation -UPDATE- I have now followed this guide TO THE LETTER to boot Mavericks: http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/280756-guide-the-all-in-one-guide-to-vanilla- os-x-including-chameleon-dsdt-for-beginners-updated-for-mavericks/ However the USB still won't work ???
