Verbose output says something like "Version of IOUSBFamily version requested by GenericUSBXHCI.kext incompatible (5.0.0a1)" (sorry, this isn't verbatim, I don't have the exact output with me) I tried looking at the Info.plist for the IOUSBFamily kext, and it said version 4.4.0, while GenericUSBXHCI requested 5.0.0a1; I've been unable to find another version online? I do not have an AHCI option in my BIOS. Does anybody have any experience with my laptop? I don't mind if I can't use Mavericks, any OSX version will be plenty for me. Sincerest thanks from one very confused noob, yubo56 P.S. I'm a student still, and while I will try my best to test all suggestions promptly schoolwork does come first, so apologies in advance if I don't check up in a while!

Hey everyone, I have been trying to install Mac on my laptop without succes. I am a complete noob at this part so i'm pretty sure i need help. Let's start with my specifications: Intel core I7 2670QM 4 GB of ram DDR3-1333 500GB HDD. The goal is to install mac on a different partition. Nvidia GeForce GT 610M I have been trying to install snow leopard for a while, trying different startup options, but it would instantly reboot. I tried both the official DVD and a snowleo iso, but they wouldn't work. Do i need a different version? I wouldn't mind buying a Lion dvd if you think that that would work. I hope that i can get some basic help with installing mac os on a different partition, since i want both windows 7 and mac to be availible. I'm willing to try everything, and i got plenty of DVD's in case i need to burn stuff like NawComs ModCD (which didn't help either) Just to clear things up, i was able to install mac os without any errors, but it would never boot. Thanks in advance, Marco P.s. I'm from the Netherlands so excuse my english.
3. Hi. I got a fix for "still waiting for root device" issue. Thanks to the help of iFIRE No im having this "SNB Framebuffer did not show up,unload". It show's twice Commands use: -f -v GraphicsEnabler=No cpus=1 UseKernelCache=No Here is the image What should i do? thanks
4. Problem Greetings ! I've been trying to install Mavericks on an HP Notebook. I used the already created USB raw file from olarila and created the installer as instructed. The issue is that when i use clover with "-v " and kernel lapic patch in its options and start the install a huge amount of text scrolls with no visible errors but then the screen blanks out and remains black...i tried to leave it for around 5mins and there was no change i force shut down the laptop and the laptop wouldn't boot again or even power on. The cmos reset helps me get it back to life . Any suggestions on how i can install mavericks on this hardware? Hi. I've been able to install 10.5.6 on the PC its self, and install SnowLeo with Virtual Box. I was wondering if it was Possible to install 10.7 on the PC or at least on VB. Any help is Appreciated! Thanks! Specs: http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?docname=c01643511&cc=us&dlc=en&jumpid=reg_r1002_usen_c-001_title_r0002&lc=en&product=3856272
7. Hey guys, I've got a problem with my OSX 10.7.0 Lion installation on an Intel d945GCLF2. I've followed the guide by Nozyczek and installed Lion, but since I am using a BELKIN bluetooth adapter, I noticed the following problem: Whenever I shut down the Computer and then boot it back up, Lion has lost the whole Bluetooth configuration, and all of my previously paired devices. As I am using the magic trackpad, I can't always connect my computer mouse to this thing to have the bluetooth configuration appear again by clicking on the symbol in the menu bar. Is there any possibility to give it a shortcut on the keyboard or sth. else I can do to bring it up without using a mouse/pointing device? Thanks for reading AND answering!

9. Hello newcomer, As i saw that many users upload their config.plist or SMBIOS.plist with non deleted S/N and MLB, ROM values. Noobs please never upload your unique machine values like ROM, MLB, Serial Number or System UUID. If you upload these values your Apple ID will be suspended form Apple services (AppStore, FaceTime, iCloud, iMessage, iTunes ...) directly, because some other noobs will try to "clone" your system as described here. It is an easy process ... simply remove these information from your uploaded media as blurring the data (watch here) or as removing / censoring the files for upload (watch here) Thank you for your attention and have a good start, here, in the forums at Insanelymac. P.S. don't blame me for this shared serial. I had found it just before i wrote this guide .
10. These are all the components: Important: -MSI x99 Raider -Intel i7-5820k -Nvidia gtx 960 4gb (Gigabyte Windforce edition) Not so important: -250gb Samsung 750 EVO -8gb Hyperx ddr4 RAM Here is what I know so far: -There are two way to make a MacOS installation disk: - with ##### - with a command from apple + the clover bootloader -You need an apple computer / finished hackintosh / virtual machine with MacOS to do this: - I went for a virtual machine with the latest version of MacOS and debian as host OS (that seemed more appropriate since it's a unix based system as well) -Because it's a x99 based system a kernel patch is needed in order to run MacOS (or maybe not? some people say that that's not necessary anymore after 10.10.2) - I tried to run the patch anyway but it did not work the terminal outputted some error and the folder where the kernel was supposed to be didn't exist (does that mean that it is indeed not nessary to do the patch in 12.* anymore?) -You also need special .kext files that function as modifications or something? (how does one know which ones you need and where to place these .kext files?) - I read somewhere that I needed FakeSMC.kext (just because everyone need that) and VoodooTSCSync.kext (because I have a six-core processor) Now I tried to do all of this and eventually I managed to create a bootable usb device but every time I tried to install macOS I got an error: "couldn't allocate runtime area", no matter what boot flags I tried (how do you guys know which ones to use anyway?). So if anyone can help me by answering some of these questions or pointing me to a more up to date X99 guide (preferably with an MSI motherboard but I'll take whatever I can get) I would really appreciate that. Thank you all in advance! you're all awesome!
11. I, a got my hands on a new Dell Inspiron n5050. I'm gonna write up a mini how to on how I did it, since I had a few problems, I figure it might help some others. NOTE: I haven't tried a retail install, but will soon. They are always my first choice. my specs: Dell Inspiron n5050 Intel Core i3 Atheros 9850 (could be wrong, this is from memory) I downloaded Hazards Snow Leopard Intel Only ISO, but I also needed the ###### iso. After burning the ISO to a DVD, I had a few problems booting from it. The boot loader seemed to reboot the computer after showing the apple logo for a mere few seconds. I noticed it said something like FADT: Restart Fix Applied. To get around that, I used the boot flag 'busratio=22 -v'. (Press f8 at darwin to enter boot prompts) It took a while to load, yet afterwards the install went fine. However, I was unable to boot from the hard drive, it would freeze completely with a black screen (hardlocked, man). I got around that by using ######. I boot from the ###### CD, and choose SL from the boot menu with the boot flags 'pmVersion=0 -f -v' I seem to need the -f in there everytime. However, it works. I am posting from it now. The only issues I have are the lack of trackpad, no sound (or at least very low and distorted) and I have no kext loaded for my video (I have an integrated intel card, Intel HD 3000. So, there is a very cut and dry version of how I got SL installed. If anyone has a similar experience with this model or any suggestions, let me know. is i + boot a censored word on these forums?

I tried to install some hackintosh versions on it without any success. I tried iAtkios ML2 and 10.9.2 installed with myHack. both methods are stuck after the first apple loading screen (i tried with -v, -f and -x) but i was stuck on a black screen. 14. So I installed Mountain Lion using iatkos ml2 and a few of the options in there, by the way just so everyone knows I am good at IT I'm just a noob when it comes to stuff like this... But I have to boot with "Graphics enabler=no" and I have to physically remove my graphics card which is not ideal "EVGA GTX 660 2GB SC" if i don't remove it I simply get this error (NVENABLER: PROBE:ROM SHADOW ENABLE Sometimes I get to this line "sound assertion in iohdacodecdevice at line 161" and then it boots other time it hangs almost randomly and I have to reboot Also I used to get this error alot "iobluetooth start completed" The motherboard I'm using is also presenting issues (MSI H87-G43) Whilst integrated graphics work using the graphicsenabler=no command and using a little ##### setting I can get it to run in 1920x1080x32 resolution this is post installation of course but I can't get the onboard sound to work which I believe is realtek (when no headphones are plugged in my computer seems to think there is no sound card installed (in windows 7/8) also can anyone help me as to why my USB wireless adapter isn't working... http://www.alibaba.com/product-gs/315109356/802_11n_EDUP_150Mbps_1T1R_USB.html Either way once installed the only thing I have working is integrated graphics running at 1080x768 which is really grainy in places which is to be expected but my 8gb ram is detected. In short: Can anyone help me fix the onboard sound for my H87-G43 MSI motherboard? How can I get my EVGA GTX 660 2GB SC to work with Hackintosh Why isn't my USB WIFI Adaptor not working as in not being detected at all (Wi-Fi greyed out even after unplugging and replugging) What do the errors that I used to get and still do mean? And finally can anyone recommend a good post installation program for me? I can perform a series of tests and I shall be on skype for the next 24 hours my skype is "bluetoothgeorge123" feel free to add me and would love to talk to someone about this as I desperatley need a mac for my college and I can't afford it hence why I've gone this method. Below are my system specs Intel Core i5 4440 8GB DDR3 Vengeance RAM (CORSAIR) NvidiaGTX 660 (EVGA) Super Clocked 1TB SeaGate Barracuda HDD MSI h87 G43 MotherBoard ANY AND ALL Help appreciated. Thank you in advance to everyone. I have wiped back to my original Mac install iatkos and booted with graphics enabler=no and -v flags so I'm back to square one with no extra plugins i.e. ##### or pandora so please feel free to give help asap as I am ready to perform any changes or add ons to get my mac to work!
