3. I have standard WPA-PSK working on my 10.10 laptop with a generic RT73 usb stick (in specific brand: LevelOne). The RalinkUtility prefpane I've been using works fine for my home network (WPA-PSK), however it doesn't work with the WPA-EAP at my school. Is there any way to get that to work? I've tried the Ralink WirelessUtility but it's broken on 10.10... at least the version I tried that's straight from MediaTek. I have seen that version has a 802.11x tab which can be used for WPA-EAP Is there any way to get it to work? Edit: I would prefer not to get into DSDT, but clover is ok, as I have no experience in DSDT and going to learn it later on, but just want to get WiFi working at school so I can at least use it at school.

Very Odd Network Behavior

I just did a clean install of Sierra and set everything up. All is working well, but I noticed something very strange. I am dual booting a Dell OptiPlex 7010 with Windows 10 on an SSD and Sierra on a separate HDD. While in windows my network is proper. I am behind a firewall and use the firewall DNS server settings and have the proper IP scheme. However when I boot into Sierra, I get a completely different IP scheme from the router DNS server that is on the outside of the firewall. I'm connected via a single ethernet line behind the firewall, so I cannot for the life of me figure out how my hackintosh is bypassing/skipping/passing through the firewall and going to the main router for DNS. This obviously causes problems, because I can't get to anything on my network from the Sierra build. This was not an issue on El Capitan before I wiped the drive and fresh started with Sierra. Any help or insight would be much appreciated.
5. I have a Dell Precision 690 that I have got 10.8.2 installed on. I am having issues with getting my network card set as built in, I also need some help with making sure my GPU is being detected properly, and I need a some help making a DSDT or setting the correct patches, as well as getting my SAS drive to show as internal or hidden it currently looks like a yellow external with a white rectangle with several lines coming out of it and my windows buttons on my keyboard do not work as the command button. Graphics card is a ASUS HD6670 I am using the BCM5722d.kext to get my nic working modified AppleLSIFusionMPT.kext to get my SAS controller working keyboard is a Logitech G110 org.chameleon.Boot.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>Boot Graphics</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Credits</key> <string>Created with Champlist</string> <key>EthernetBuiltIn</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Graphics Mode</key> <string>1440x900x32</string> <key>GraphicsEnabler</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>Kernel</key> <string>mach_kernel</string> <key>Kernel Flags</key> <string>-f npci=0x3000</string> <key>Legacy Logo</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>PciRoot</key> <string>1</string> <key>SystemType</key> <string>1</string> <key>Timeout</key> <string>5</string> <key>UseKernelCache</key> <string>Yes</string> <key>device-properties</key> <string>4b00000001000000010000003f0000000100000002010c00d041030a0100000001010600041c0101060000007fff0400160000006200750069006c0074002d0069006e0000000500000001</string> </dict> </plist> smbios.plist <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <!DOCTYPE plist PUBLIC "-//Apple//DTD PLIST 1.0//EN" "http://www.apple.com/DTDs/PropertyList-1.0.dtd"> <plist version="1.0"> <dict> <key>SMbiosdate</key> <string>02/29/08</string> <key>SMbiosvendor</key> <string>Apple Computer, Inc.</string> <key>SMbiosversion</key> <string>MP31.88Z.006C.B05.0802291410</string> <key>SMboardproduct</key> <string>Mac-F42C88C8</string> <key>SMfamily</key> <string>Mac Pro</string> <key>SMmanufacturer</key> <string>Apple Computer, Inc.</string> <key>SMproductname</key> <string>MacPro3,1</string> <key>SMserial</key> <string>CK941S0LXYL</string> </dict> </plist>
6. Hi guys, so I finally installed OSX Mavericks on my VMWare machine and things are looking ok apart from the network and the sound. During the initial installation, I had to choose "this computer will not connect to the internet" during the setup part where you choose internet connections and languages etc... as it just kept going back to the start of setup every time. I finally managed to get into OSX and now I need to find out how to get the network working so i can use the internet. I've attached a screenshot of what it looks like below in the network options: I've tried choosing bridge in VM Machine Settings but can't seem to get it working. Any ideas guys? Also, any ideas on the sound would be great too! Cheers!

8. So I had my computer set up for iAtkos L2, pretty common specs, Q9550, ASUS P5QL PRO, nVidia GTX275, nothing too fancy to find compatible kexts for. In fact, I have had perfect installations of Leopard (iDeneb 10.5.8), Snow Leopard (using tonymac's method) and Lion (by upgrading from SL, also using tonymac's method) before, in between those periods I deleted the hackintosh partitions and switched back to Windows for a while. Things started complicating when I got bored with Windows again and downloaded iAtkos L2 10.7.2. Installation was perfect, even smoother than all my previous hackintosh experiences, but my ethernet just won't work. Note that on my previous installation of Lion (albeit it being upgraded from SL, everything was working perfectly). I have tried every kext I could find (AtherosL1Ethernet, AttansicL1Ethernet, AttansicL1cEthernet, AttansicL1eEthernet, ... you name it), I tried using MB 4.6, I even reinstalled the whole OS for no reason several times but to no avail. I was wondering if I did the installation of kext wrong? I remember quite clearly when I was messing with SL, ethernet didn't work at first, but as soon I used Kext Helper on this one particular kext (which conviniently I forget where I got it), my ethernet configuration in Network Preferences light up like a Christmas tree and I was enjoying my Internet right after that. No need for reboot or anything. Was I supposed to delete the wrong kext before installing a new one (I did)? Was deleting a wrong kext just by moving it to Trash enough (I did just that)? Excuse me for any newb questions, I appreciate all your help if there is any additional info you might need, please list them and I will try to reply asap.

Network Issues

I have Broadcom Corporation NetXtreme BCM5751 Gigabit Ethernet NIC, but when I try ro install the kext for it, it gives me an error about kern architecture type. Is there any way to run 32 bit kexts on a 64 bit OS? If not, how do I install Snow Leopard in 32 bit mode using chameleon boot loader? Attached is the kext I am trying to use. AppleBCM5751Ethernet.kext.zip
10. I've built a couple Hackintoshes, but I suddenly inherited a 2012 Chronos 7 laptop. Decided to start with VMware. Installed player 7 and unlocked it. Created a VM with with plop image. I know there are various instructions of how to install os x. However, I have a vanilla bootable ML USB drive lying around so decided to try. Set the vm to os x 10.8 and booted. Presto, I have os x running and can login. However, no matter how I set the networking in vm, the Mac doesn't have a nic. I played with vmnetcfg, but no luck. I have ##### on the drive, but don't know which if any driver to install. If you tell me, go follow proven methods, I'll understand, but I'd love to know at least why it doesn't work.
11. Hello everyone, I'm trying to figure out why my card doesn't work anymore after updating my mac installation from 10.7.2 to 10.7.4 using a combined version of the mac I downloaded from apple.com. My network card is a Realtek RTL8168. I've tried different kexts and packages so far but to no success. I had 10.7.4 installed before and I managed to make it work very easily last time. I just installed a kext using the ###### app. I have built and rebuilt the permission over and over again. Still no success. Does anyone have any suggestions to what else I should try to make it work? Thanks in advance. Just in case you need my computer information: Compaq CQ61-112SL (kinda bad ) Graphics: GMA4500HD - Mobile Intel 4 Series Chipset Family Wireless: AR5007 802.11 b/g (can't make this work either) Ethernet: Realtek RTL8168 CPUs: 2 X Intel Pentium Dual CPU T3400 @2.16GHz

Need Network Kexts

Hello, Im running Hackintosh 10.11 El Capitan on my laptop. I wanted to be able to use WiFi and Ethernet in my hackintosh, and here are my device ids (in Windows) of my network drivers : Wired : VEN_10EC&DEV_8168 (Realtek PCIe GBE Family Controller) Wireless : VEN_14E4&DEV_4365 (Broadcom 802.11n Network Adapter) If anyone could help me search/make these network kexts, please do so, and post it here. Thank you very much for reading, and have a nice day!
15. Hi there, i installed osx 10.10 via clover a few weeks ago. Everything's fine, including my GTX970. Now i have the Problem: When i transfere many gigabytes to my NAS Server, the system hangs after transfering about 20-50 GB. I can move the mouse and type something in my browser, but nothing's responding. I have to hard power of the system and reboot. I have had this issue a few time for now, every time i have large load over the network. Im using the AppleIntelE1000e.kext but not shure wich version and where i can get the newest. But i have no idea if the network card is the Problem. Do you have some tips for me? Greetings Julian
16. Hi, I will add a new network card (HP NC360T) to to my system which works OOTB. Therefore I will disable my current onboard lan which is currently recognized as en0. After deleting the obsolete Kext for my disabled onboard card, which plist do I have to delete, to get the first port of my new network card to be recognized as en0? Naturally it will be recognized as en1, which causes problems with Messages. Which other steps would be necessary (eg. rebuild caches)?

18. Hi! I've got a pc desktop with this hardware: Intel Pentium 4 - 3.00 Ghz Motherboard ASUS P4S800D ATI Radeon Ve VGA standard SoundMAX Audio inside motherboard ASUS 1.5 GB Ram DDR (so I can't install OS X Lion...or yes?) I need to install OS X and use some Dj programs, so i need to have a good Hackintosh and fully working. I tried with OS X Hazard and it works but there isn't the driver for my audio car, for graphic card and network card. If it's possibile, I'll want to work with original OS X Snow Leopard, so i downloaded a version of this OS (10.6 Final). Can you help me? Thanks
19. Hello, I am new to this forum. I decided to install Mac OS X SL on my old computer (I am building a new one for Christmas). Here are my specs(very crappy): Intel Pentium D 945 3.4GHZ - ASRock N73PV-S - 4GB DDR2 RAM - NVidia Geforce 9400GT 1GB - 500GB HDD. So I've downloaded iAtkos S3 V2, burned it on a DVD, Configured evrything to install and installed is. Booted succesfully. But I still have some problems: there is the famous VoodooHDA problem that makes the crakling noise, second that the internet doesn't work at startup, I have to open Network in settings and it recognize a new network interface (same at every startup) and when connected, it would be fast for the fist 5 or so minutes and then slows down util it stops. And last, my Video Card is not recognized (unknown Nvidia card - 1024MB). Please help me, I want it to be fully functional. Any help is appreciated.
20. I have an Hp Omni 100 5151 which i've installed iAtkos V7 on, Everything seems to be working fine except a few things, i've found the network card drivers but I have had no luck finding the wireless drivers, the card is an HP PCI-e half-length mini card 802.11 g/b/n. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
21. Hi all, I now have finally Mountain Lion 10.8.2 running on my laptop (Acer Aspire 7750G). Everything works great, except my ethernet. It works fine when I'm at home, but at school, I need to authenticate using 802.1x. When I plugin in my connector, I get an IP from the DHCP server, and I can even ping websites (google.com, for example). But, I cannot visit websites, or do anything else related to the internet. Normally, when I am on Windows, I have to enable the Wired Autoconfig service, and then Windows askes me for my credentials (school-ID and password). On Mac, however, I don't get this kind of screen. Also when I try to make a profile using IPCU, it doesn't work. It gives me 'Could not connect to the authenticating server'. It's really annoying, as wireless internet is one big derp at school. Any thoughts on how to fix this? Thanks! ˜Basaa

23. Hi there, I managed to install OSX Mavericks on a separate partition of my system with myHack 3.2 beta 8. Unfortunately I don't see no pci cards like the network interface or soundcard. The booting hangs a while at "PCI configuration (begin/changed/end)" but after that Mavericks starts normal. The optional boot flags "npci=0×2000 or npci=0×3000" don't solve this problem. Anyone has a tip what to do? I installed the chameleon bootloader in Mavericks. But booting to it only works if the usb installer stick is plugged in (with chameleon bootloader installed on it). What do I have to do to get a working bootloader for Windows 7 (starts as default) and Mavericks? Thanks in advance!

25. Hi Guys, First of all i have to say that since its a common issue I tried a lot of things before posting here. But nothing could solve my problems. I installed ML 10.8.4 on my pc and everything works except for the iCloud, AppStore, iMessage and Facetime. First things first.. here is some info of my computer: Motherboard: ASUS P6X58-E PRO Wireless: PCI Express - TP-Link TI-WDN4800 Not using DSDT, only kexts. I tried the following solutions: - Ethernet BuiltIn = Yes (did not connect to any of apple services) - Use EFI Studio (computer did not boot) - Remove/Add Networks and delete NetworksInterfaces.plist (did not connect to any of apple services) - Update Chamaleon Bootloader (updated, but did not connect to any of apple services) Also this http://rampagedev.wordpress.com/os-x-tweaks/how-to-create-a-recovery-partition-and-enable-all-features-of-icloud-and-imessages/ Any help? (P.S: after try to fix i noticed this) WTF?
