  1. Hey everybody, I am attempting to get my ATI Mobility Radeon 7970M working in Mac OS X. I am using an Alienware M17x R4. 2. So, my problem is that I have 2 monitors, one is an external Asus, the other internal on the laptop. I have acceleration working, and name shows up as 5850 correctly because I use the right ATICONFIG (modified) to work, the only issue being that when my hackintosh boots, both displays are mirrored until I use SwitchResX to change resolution on every boot. The problem is that it recognizes both screens as ASUS monitors, with the same EDID and specs. If I use Graphicsenabler=no, it shows one ASUS and the EDID loaded on the internal as a VGA monitor with correct specs, but then the internal screen never loads. And If I were to remove the 2nd screen, (HDMI Output) both screens turn off. Almost as if it's mirroring the external monitor to the internal and forcing it on. At least it WORKS, but how o I get it to work with seperate names and so that I could boot without the HDMI cable in if needed? ATI Radeon HD 6370M on Yosemite

Hello guys. Recently I installed Yosemite 10.10.1 on my HP ProBook 4421s. It boots to desktop with clover. One thing that's bothering me is that OS X successfully detected the graphic card AMD Radeon HD Mobility 6370M, but it only shows 4MB of vram. Can anyone tell me how to fix it? The devID is 0x68e41002 for my card. I looked on kext wizard and turned out that there is no AMD related kexts loaded. Can anyone provide AMD graphics kext for Yosemite 10.10.1? I've tried using the ones that work on Mavericks, but on Yosemite it doesn't work... UPDATE: I tried a method for this card from http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/299439-i-got-the-ati-radeon-hd-6370m-working-with-the-right-resolution-but-cant-get-the-qe-working/. Method is working on Mavericks. But sadly on Yosemite I got KP on AMDRadeonX3000 and IOAcceleratorFamily. I tried removing AMDRadeonX3000 and its bundle then rebooted. Now the system detects my card and its memory correctly. But QE/CI is not fully working. Any ideas on how to make QE/CI fully works? I've seen that many people have been looking for a solution for this card. Any help would be appreciated. Cheers. DSDT copy.aml.zip
  5. Help! I have a toshiba laptop Core i3 330m Amd mobility Radeon hd 5650 4gb ram 320gb HDD I have installed just fine, I can boot fine also with a couple exceptions. 1, I have to enter "GraphicsEnabler=No -v -x -f" in order to boot to desktop. With out this I get a odd looking white screen with verticle lines going through the screen. 2, the OS can only see 3mb of VRAM. 3, this is kinda off topic but how do you get function keys like brightness and volume to work from the keyboard. I do not have any windows partitions installed or any thing else. I have access to a USB drive(8GB) and a laptop running windows. Mac OS X ml does not recognize my wifi card as it is not supported and I am getting wifi card to solve that issue. Thx people ;D

  9. Hi i try to make working this chip under 10.6.8 (clover as bootloader) on acer 4810TG laptop. i short the story... QE/CI work fine, hdmi work fine (as extened desktop), vga work fine (as extended desktop too) after hours, and hours of test i can't have the lvds working, i only get a black screen (backlight work) but, the screen himself is well detected as primary display, as hdmi and vga can work as extended desktop. so, i think it's a bad routing, but i don't know where... i follow this tutorial : http://www.insanelymac.com/forum/topic/252061-mobility-radeon-hd-4650full-resolution-with-qe-ci-working-on-internal-lvds-screen/?do=findComment&comment=1655903 and using the "old method" here is radeon_bios_decode result : ATOM BIOS Rom: SubsystemVendorID: 0x1002 SubsystemID: 0x9552 IOBaseAddress: 0x4000 Filename: BR32868.002 BIOS Bootup Message: BR32868.002 M92 DDR3 64bit 450e/600m PCI ID: 1002:9552 Connector at index 0 Type [@offset 45934]: LVDS (7) Encoder [@offset 45938]: INTERNAL_UNIPHY2 (0x21) i2cid [@offset 45996]: 0x96, OSX senseid: 0x7 Connector at index 1 Type [@offset 45944]: VGA (1) Encoder [@offset 45948]: INTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC1 (0x15) i2cid [@offset 46019]: 0x90, OSX senseid: 0x1 Connector at index 2 Type [@offset 45954]: HDMI-A (11) Encoder [@offset 45958]: INTERNAL_UNIPHY (0x1e) i2cid [@offset 46042]: 0x91, OSX senseid: 0x2 here is redsock_bios_decoder result : BR32868.002 : BR32868.002 M92 DDR3 64bit 450e/600m Subsystem Vendor ID: 1002 Subsystem ID: 9552 Object Header Structure Size: 197 Connector Object Table Offset: 32 Router Object Table Offset: 0 Encoder Object Table Offset: 97 Display Path Table Offset: 10 Connector Object Id [14] which is [LVDS] encoder obj id [0x21] which is [INTERNAL_UNIPHY2 (osx txmit 0x12 [duallink 0x2] enc 0x4)] linkb: false Connector Object Id [5] which is [VGA] encoder obj id [0x15] which is [INTERNAL_KLDSCP_DAC1 (osx txmit 0x00 enc 0x10?)] linkb: false Connector Object Id [12] which is [HDMI_TYPE_A] encoder obj id [0x1e] which is [INTERNAL_UNIPHY (osx txmit 0x10 [duallink 0x0] enc 0x0)] linkb: false so, as in the tutorial, i use the defaut personality "shrike" and patching it. 10. Hi guys! I successfully installed Snow Leopard on my AMD laptop (AMD Phenom II X3 N830 Triple Core, 4 GB RAM, Ati Mobility Radeon HD 5650, ATI High Definition Audio) with the SnowLeo 10.6 DVD (I tried Hazard 10.6.2/10.6.3 and iAtkos S3 V2 too, but SnowLeo's the only one that gave me no problem) with everything working except: 1: Video resolution and QI/CE: My screen resolution is only 1024x768 2: WiFi: My Atheros card doesn't work :/ Used this one to enable WiFI without changing kernel. 3: Audio: VoodooHDA works but I have a strange echo sound from the microphone I can't seem to fix D: Used an older version and No problems. . I tried Forced EDID but the resolution is always the lowest (1024x768 :/) Any suggestions?

    ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5650

Hi guys, My graphic card is only recognized and works great on my external screen. I use Clover bootloader and follow the topic of GraphicsInjector, but I need also to patch the ATIConnector. I extract my VBios from "Everest" and dump it in "radeon_bios_decode". 13. Trying to log my progress here. If you have this laptop or a similar one (ASUS G73 etc) feel free to post your methods for getting things to work here. Here's MY GX660's specs: Intel i5 460m 2.53ghz 8GB DDR3 RAM ATI Mobility Radeon 5870m 1GB Here's how I've fared so far: Successfully booted iATKOS L2 installer on a USB stick using another USB stick with Chameleon - can not boot Lion retail disk with ###### or Chameleon USB. Installed barebones iATKOS - get PCI Configuration Begin error Fixed PCI Config error by placing these kexts in E/E using the iATKOS installer Terminal Still could not boot - would get to the Apple screen and then the screen goes crazy, or turns white. Deleted all graphics kexts, but no change here. Tried with GraphicsEnabler=No and Yes, no change. Eventually got to the desktop using GraphicsEnabler=No, however, can not get past the message DSMOS has arrived when using Yes. Tried ATY_init.kext to no avail. Any ideas here? Lion's default graphics kexts should work properly with the 5870m, right? Any tips for me going forward?
  14. Hi everyone, So I've installed Mountain Lion(10.8) on my HP DV7-4180eb laptop (http://h10025.www1.h...cname=c02541743). I posted this topic because I'm searching for more than a week how to install the drivers for my graphic card. For booting I'm using "Chameleon 2.2 - r2233" I've already type my EDID in "DisplayProductID-717" and put my vendorID(1002) and deviceID(0x68c1) in the ATI5000Controller.kext. Extra/org.chameleon.Boot.plist: - GraphicsEnabler = Yes - Ati config = Baboon But still no reconized my Graphic Card and we don't see the other kext in the System Info Hope you can help me Thanks
