  1. I've successfully installed High Sierra (10.13.0) on my system using Clover: 2x Intel Xeon E5410 16GB Ram GTX 950 Everything is running fine except the GPU. I've tried the web driver's latest version and 378.10.10.10.25.106 but both are very laggy/sluggish. I've also tried installing Lilu and nVidiaGraphicsFixUp kexts but they didn't change anything. Have someone managed to make this card work with High Sierra?
  2. Hello, Maybe i am the only one seeing this or maybe i am doing something wrong but my resize animation performance in HS 10.13.5 is terrible. I did a clean install of 10.13.5, installed the latest nvidia drivers 387.10.10.10.35.106. My GPU is a GTX1060 connected via DP to a 4k display. Now, the issue, when i open an empty TextEdit for example, if i drag the corner of the window to make it larger, it lags more and more as the size increases. I also have Adobe Audition CC installed for my work, the interface is very slow compared to the windows version (my 2011 macbook pro is much faster, but it's not 4k). Is there a known issue when running 4k on nvidia web drivers ? It's very frustrating because i've been using custom machines with 1080p displays and nvidia cards since Snow Leopard, but i was always butter smooth. Thanks.
  3. Let's cross reference the facts and settings and find out why we have the lags with the nVidia web drivers and why some other people don't have the lags. I have an EVGA 1070 SuperClocked GPU which is working pretty well under macOS Sierra and up to macOS 10.13.2 the last macOS update and the nVidia web driver didn't go so well. So far I tried all the following options but nothing seems to work: 1. Used only clover's on the fly patch for the board-id to avoid the black screen issue 2. Used Lilu and nVidiaGraphicsFixUp 3. Used only AGDPFix without any other patches or kexts 4. Activated the iGPU 5. used ACPI patches to change the PEG0 to GFX0 6. Used iMacPro SMBIOS without any patches or kext Nothing seems to work so far except for the patched version of the 104 or 106 web driver which has the lags but it's way better than the last drivers. To all people with no lags: Please share your EFI folders if you can. (Please remove the serial number, MLB, UUID and all the private stuff from your config.plist and also remove "themes" and "Apple" Folder before posting it) and please share your hardware specs with the firmware version (BIOS/UEFI version) Thank you all You can test the following sites to see wether you have the lags or not: http://madebyevan.com/webgl-water/ (thanks to @maerten) or http://www.bongiovi..../webgl/blossom/ (thanks to @TheBloke)
  4. Hi all, I Installed Yosemite recently and I've been experiencing lag often when multi-tasking. My specs are: M.B:Gigabyte G41MT-S2P CPU: Intel Core2Duo E7500 2.93GHz Ram: 4GB Kingstone DDR3 VGA: AMD HD 5570 1GB Is it because of the RAM? will the lag be eliminated if I upgrade the RAM to 6 GB? (1x 2GB + 1x4GB) Thanks!
  5. Hello, First of all here are the characteristics of my Hackintosh: Motherboard: MSI Z97 PC MATE Ram: 8 GB Kingston Processor: Intel Core i5-4460 Graphics Card: Nvidia GTX 550 Ti 1 GB SMBios: iMac 14,2 Bootloader: Clover 2.4k r.4077 So I have a problem of acceleration QE / CI on the hackintosh, which is very embarrassing because everything works normally .. Of course, standby does not work. I am in Nvidia injection to be able to go on the hackintosh. When I install a web driver, I can boot and it works correctly, but I have sorts of artifacts, I no longer have wallpaper it becomes black with a square top left with sizzle I think I'm two fingers of the solution but I do not know how to operate the web driver properly .. I have enabled the Web Driver with the new method in the config plist If someone has the same graphics card and can help me this would be really great.

    Sierra UI Issues

Hey guys, recently I'm using MacOS Sierra 10.12.6 and I've some issues with UI, like a stuttering when resize certain system windows. Windows where occurs: Activity Monitor, System Report And yes, my graphic card is working! Please, does somebody can test this and reply me? Thanks!
  7. I feel like it is 2007/2008 again .... I'm struggling with this almost whole week: Supermicro X8DAE Xeon 5530 x 2 Nvidia GTX 570 24GB RAM SSD for OS - Installation went smoothly, like many times before with different configurations (however this is my first dual Xeon build) - After restart I see that I can barely interact with UI. Terrible lag and completely unresponsive. Ok .... looks like GPU issue, although that is very strange because the same GPU works W/O issues on X58A-UD3R and Z77X-UP5TH (GraphicsEnabler=yes). - Safe mode (-x), boots fine, both CPUs are there, RAM ..... good. - For troubleshooting I deleted GeForce.kext, reboot. System boots fine (of course with crippled graphics), but there is no lag and freezing. Definitely looks like GPU issue. - Edited AGPM.kext (device ID and threshold), than fakesmc.kext to match Mac Pro 5.1 system definition. Installed GeForce.kext back, reboot. Result - just a bit less lag and freezing, but far, far from normal. - Again safe boot, system boots fine, no lag. - OK, maybe I'm going mad .... pulled out GTX 570, installed GTX 285 (also from other working system), edited AGPM.kext accordingly. Result - same lag and freezing. - Back in with GTX 570. I installed Windows (just to check that there are no hardware issues with MB). Everything works great. - Formated drive (to avoid temptation of the dark side ) - Reinstalled OS X with Mac Pro 3.1 definition this time (to avoid AGPM). Result - even more freezing. - Back to Mac Pro 5.1, GraphicsEnabler=no, GPU injection via DSDT .... no luck. - Various tests with different BIOS options,.... nothing What ever I try, with any GPU, I always have lag and freezing. Safe boot and booting without GeForce.kext are fine. I have read countless threads trying to find solution, but W/O success. I'm probably overlooking something obvious .... but WHAT? Any help would be much appreciated. Kext used: fakesmc hnak's e1000 (for intel network adapters) DSDT attached
  8. After some research (took me a year ) I think I finally found a solution to get a more smoother interface. I don't know if this also fixes "Channel Timeout" errors, more testing is needed. Some history: After reading several topics/post about power-states that are used on GeForce-cards, I found out that the Fermi series only has 3 P-states instead of 4 (or more). P-states can control clockings on a GPU down or up when needed. (Down when more 'power' is needed/Up when being more idle) You can check your clocks by running the tool nvidia Inspector in Windows My EVGA GeForce 450 GTS (1GB) has the following clock-speeds: State 3 (lowest energy use) CPU Clock: 50Mhz CPU Memory: 324Mhz State 2 (mid. energy use) CPU Clock: 405Mhz CPU Memory: 324Mhz State 1 (high. energy use) CPU Clock: 783Mhz CPU Memory: 1.80Mhz After looking in Windows 7 what state the nVidia card runs on, I found out that this is usually state 3. In OS X however I could only get smooth animations if the GPU was running in state 2. My theory is that OS X simple needs more 'power' because it is running on OpenGL and their are way more animations (enabled) than on Windows. I also checked how my card was running on Linux (KDE). When using their interface I also find out my card was more in state 2 than in state 1. Editing AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext: To set the correct clock-speeds based on load, editing AGPM.kext was needed since they are undefined for my GPU. After searching through some post, I found out that some users were using all the 4 'load-fields', when my Fermi-card only has 3. Also some users simple tried to disable the last two, by setting really high values. This should prevent the CPU hitting state 3. Some users claim that state 3 is causing the freezes and the slow interface. My theory is that the GPU doesn't switch to state 2 when needed. It is either taking to much time for the GPU to reach state 2 or it would simply mean that the GPU doesn't like being on state 2 all the time for some reason. To make a long story short: I wanted to have a smooth interface, but also don't wanted the GPU to be fully loaded all the time (causing me a high energy bill). At the moment I'm using iMac12,2 as model. This because my i5-2400 seems to be inside this model. By setting this model, it also loaded the AGPM.kext. These are the values I have chose for my GPU (device id 0dc4): <key>Vendor10deDevice0dc4</key> <dict> <key>BoostPState</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>1</integer> <integer>2</integer> </array> <key>BoostTime</key> <array> <integer>2</integer> <integer>2</integer> <integer>2</integer> </array> <key>Heuristic</key> <dict> <key>ID</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>IdleInterval</key> <integer>200</integer> <key>SensorOption</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>TargetCount</key> <integer>1</integer> <key>Threshold_High</key> <array> <integer>70</integer> <integer>87</integer> <integer>100</integer> </array> <key>Threshold_Low</key> <array> <integer>0</integer> <integer>60</integer> <integer>92</integer> </array> </dict> <key>LogControl</key> <integer>0</integer> <key>control-id</key> <integer>17</integer> </dict> As you can see (or don't) I have simply removed the last row (aka row 3). My GPU is clocking as it should be and I can enjoy movies again. Also the sound from the GPU fan seems to be lower as it normally would, since this is also controlled by the GPU-clock. Setting details: I have set the IdleInterval from 250 to 100. It seems that setting this as 250 it takes to long for the GPU to switch to a higher or lower state. My theory is that the 250 value is set for the GFX0 (aka the nVidia/ATI-GPU) because it 'only' needs to render a game/high-use application. When the 100 IdleInterval of the Intel GPU, is needed because more/faster switching is needed for 'normal' use. The BoostPState and the BoostTime simple defined what state to be used when an application needs more 'power'. The SensorOption should need to be set to read-out the GPU-status. The TargetCount should be the state were the GPU should focus on. At least I think so, please let me know if you have more/better information. Testing: I would like to see some (test) results from Fermi-card users. That's why I posted this as new topic. But please know that doing this is at your own risk! As 'proof' please check the following pictures: Idle (4% idle or less): Browsing/doing stuff: (more than 4% load) Benchmarking: (more than 45% load) AppleGraphicsPowerManagement.kext.zip

    HD 4000 Graphics

Hi guys, I just installed Mac 10.8 Lion, using VMware on my x64 Windows 7 Home Premium. But there seems to be a lag ! Mac animations are rough, and I'm not sure why it's lagging! My specs: HP Spectre XT 13 i5-3317u (upto 2.6Ghz) HD 4000 (no dedicated graphics) 4GB DDR3 @ 1600 Mhz Samsung 128 GB SSD Res. 1366x768 VMWare Workstation 9 Windows 7 shows my video memory around 1696 MB, but Mountain Lion shows only 128MB. Is there a way to allocate more video memory to Mountain Lion? Any help would be deeply appreciated ! Thanks Piyush
  10. Hi its my first post(and sorry for my english), I have a problem after update 10.9.2, its my first hackintosh ,in secure mode all works well, but if i try to boot it normal its works slow and laggy. I try 3 kernels with their own System.kext and Sandbox.kex and a lot of bootflags...the only thing i know its that if disable my graphic card "nv_disable=1" it works ok... but without graphics ,so i think its a graphic problem... My build CPU: FX 8350 MB: MSI 970 Gaming GPU: GTX 770 Gigabyte some more? EDIT: Solved!!!!! I only change the S/L/Extensions Folder with the backup from 10.9.0 and it works fine but i want to know...:Works te same folder (i think it was graphics kext) to...10.9.5???
Hello, I've just been noticing this strange mouse lag (pointer jumping) recently, something similar to what's been discussed in this topic: http://smoothmouse.net/forum/topic/37-pointer-teleportation-bug/ Practically, I just move the mouse as usual but at some point from time to time it skips further than I wanted and sometimes to a random location. I've also noticed some USB problems with my Midi Keyboard, while playing piano, it stops working at some point and if I disconnect and connect it back it starts working again. These problems are not related to the mouse or the Midi Keyboard as they work just fine in Windows or on other devices. Any idea on what might be causing this ? Thanks!

  15. Hi, Here's my config : i7 860 Maximus III Formula GTX 780 2x8go ram DDR3 Card Silverstone PCI Express 2 SATA 6gbps SSD 850 EVO 500 Go Dongle USB>Jack natively recognized. I have a problem quite unordinary I just migrated to Mac OS Sierra, and everything works but the OS itself lags, whether it's in the applications or opening the Finder, the preference panel, etc. However my graphic card is well detected and the whole hardware is detected I had the same problem on El Captain, that I resolved by recreating a cleaner EFI Clover. After doing that, it was perfectly fluid, but it didn't work on Sierra. I'm on Clover r3773 (see on the screenshot) By the way, I ticked CloverEFI 64-bits BiosBlockIO to have the support of my PCI card and therefore make the most of the SATA 3 I'm configured in iMac 13,2 (the 14.2 made my GTX780 crash at boot) Thanks !
  16. Hello everyone ! Iv'e managed to install mavericks on Gigabye H81 with on board Graphics (Intel HD 4600).. I had problem with the VRAM on the graphic it didn't got to 1024MB always on 64MB, Finally I got it to 1024MB by updating to 10.9.5 Install IntelAzul kext and using chameleon 2.3 with GraphicsEnabler=Yes IntelAzulFB=10. anyway, my problem is the graphic is poor, everything works laggy when it comes to Graphics.. I thought the VRAM thing will solve the problem but still nothing... I wanted to know if everyone here had or saw this problem and knows how to solve it? another problem I got is I can't make the audio works.. I tried ALC892 so far.. and nothing Thanks !!!
  17. Spec - Samsung RF711 - Intel Core i7 2670QM (Sandy Bridge) - NVidia Optimus Graphics: Integrated Intel HD3000 - Dedicated NVidia GT 540M (No option to choose graphics card in BIOS) - 8GB Ram - Series 6 chipset (I think - how can I verify?) - Resolution: 1600x900 OS X Version: 10.10.3 Bootloader: Cham Install Method: UniB Trying to install Yosemite 10.10.3 on my laptop and got it installed and booting but the graphics are very laggy and only running at 1024x768 (should be 1600x900). System report shows Intel HD 3000 3mb (Device ID: 0x0116 - No Kext Loaded) so I'm assuming the issue is related to this as it definitely has more VRAM? On a side note I haven't yet got the machine booting without using UniB on a USB stick (although I was assuming I can sort this out afterwards?). I have installed Chimera but it didn't seem to do anything. Also, not sure if it would be better for me to be using Clover? Tried So Far 1. A wide range of boot flags including 'GraphicsEnabler, nv_disable, dart, IGPEnabler, PCIRootUID, npci=0x2000, maxmem=4096' but none of these seem to make a difference no matter what combination of options I choose for them. 2. Intel Graphics Patch in MultiB. 3. A few different other Kexts including this. I used Kext Utility to install these but upon restart the system will then not boot failing at: failed to load kext com.apple.driver.AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB (error 0xdc008017) This then requires me to boot into the OS X installation and remove AppleIntelSNBGraphicsFB.kext using Terminal to get the machine to boot again. 4. Tried patching DSDT with a couple of patches. This and the patch mentioned here. I'm using MaciASL to do this and (checking it compiles with no errors) and then saving DSDT.aml in 'Extra/'. None of these have any effect either (except for occasionally stopping the keyboard and trackpad from working and then requiring me to make a full re-install). Does anyone have any suggestions on how I can get this working? Thanks in advance for any help and let me know if any other info is required.
