  1. Hi, I noticed some weird behavior with macOS High Sierra. This system was working just fine on Sierra 10.12.5, until I decided to update to High Sierra (10.13.3). The upgrade process went mostly fine I guess, but it got stuck in an infinite spinning wheel which would just keep overlapping. I went into verbose mode, and sure enough, I found "IOConsoleUsers: gIOScreenLockState 3, hs 0, bs 0, now 0, sm 0x0" repeating over and over along with ACM errors... I'm really lost right now. I can boot in recovery mode and safe mode just fine, when the graphics drivers aren't loaded. Web drivers aren't installed. I installed NvidiaGraphicsFixup, but it didn't fix the issue. I tried deleting the native graphics drivers from macOS and installing web drivers, but it didn't help. SMBIOS: iMac13,1 Graphics card: ASUS GT630-2GD3 (It's a Fermi card and it needs injection, so I modified my DSDT. Full graphics acceleration worked in Sierra. No Clover injection. I tried using Clover injection instead, I saw no difference.) CPU: Intel Core i3-3210, iGPU disabled in UEFI All kexts updated to their latest versions, along with Clover. For more info, you can refer to the GitHub issue where I posted it. https://github.com/lvs1974/NvidiaGraphicsFixup/issues/3 Any help would be appreciated. Thank you for your time! config.plist

    MIDI detection

Strange and deeply frustrating thing happening in my brand new Hack build, intended for audio production: My MIDI interface, a Unitor 8mkII and my Novation Launchpad are being detected by the system profiler under USB ports, but NOT being detected by applications such as Audio MIDI setup or Ableton Live. I installed OSX via tonymac's method of ##### ML 1.7.0 and ##### 5.2.1. My system definition is iMac 13,1 since this seems to be the profile that actually matches my hardware the best. I know certainly that it's not a cable issue, since the devices are being detected in the Sys Profiler and on my Macbook Pro. I know that it's not an inherent issue of drivers since Audio MIDI set up does detect these devices perfectly well in OS10.8.2 on my Macbook Pro. I know that it's not a universal problem of MIDI device detection on my Hackintosh because Audio MIDI setup detects another device, my Keystation 88, perfectly well. I know it isn't an issue of ports, since I've swapped the ports for each device; the K88 always is always detected and the other devices are not. Please, any help troubleshooting this would be greatly appreciated!! ___ PS. my boot time is very slow and geek bench score about 3000 points lower on OSX ML than on Windows 8 for the same machine... if anyone wants to make suggestions or point to resources on this it'd be appreciated. thank you
  3. Hi, guys! I have core i3-3225(with hd4000 onboard) processor and I'm going to buy other components and install Mountain Lion. But I'm new and not sure that all component compatible to 10.8. my spec: Processor: Core i3-3225(HD4000) Motherboard: ASUS P8B75-M (B75 chipset) Memory: Corsair Value Select 2x8Gb - 1333 or Kingston HyperX 2x8Gb - 1600 Drive: Seagate Barracuda 2Tb [ST2000DM001] or WD Caviar Green IntelliPower 2Tb [WD20EZRX] Without graphic card Please check my configuration and give me advice if something incompatible.
  4. I have a question. I have been dealing with this all week. I have burned DVD's like no other. I tried (I know its illegal but tried atkios l2 - just to see if maybe my old usb drive was faulty) None of the distros work for me. I am running the M18X Ivy Bridge with 14gb ram, 3 HDD and nvidia 660m. I am just tired of dvd's laying around and I accidently reformatted the usb containing my DMG file, and I do not have a mac around since I sold it due to Veterans Affairs not paying me on time and needed to pay my bills, so re downloading is horrible and I live on a farm, so I am stuck with nearest neighbor about 1.6 miles away... so finding someone else with a Mac is amazingly hard... What should I do? Is there a Ivy Bridge pre-built distribution I can use that supports Ivy Bridge. Any way to burn DMG without corruption? What can I do. Thanks in advance! -MaxAttaX

Intel HD 4000 | No acceleration

Hello guys, as I can see this happens to a lot of people, I'd the problem that the system was only getting 4mb from my VGA but now it's ok. The thing is that I'm not getting any kind of graphic acceleration, sometimes youtube on fullscreen looks weird, the progress bar appears and disappears, and also I'm not getting any transparency or "cool effects" that until I know I should see now. I've been looking posts to make this easier... I need to ask you some help, sorry if my english isn't properly... System specs: As you can see I'm getting the 512mb from my Intel HD 4000 but I cannot see any graph acceleration. In other posts I saw that their op's posted their DSDT ... Would be great if someone can help me... Thank you guys! (sorry for my english) pd: currently using clover System DSDT.zip
  7. Hi everyone. I'm hoping somebody will be able to help me with power management on my system, because after months of tinkering I still can't get speedstep working. My problem is that after following the Power management for Sandy/Ivy Bridge/Haswell CPUs guide on this site and then installing the SSDT I get a black screen upon boot. I've tried booting in verbose which doesn't help much because it appears the system boots just fine right before said black screen. Anybody got any idea what my problem could be? I'll attach relevant files just incase. SSDT.aml.zip config.plist.zip
  8. Hey peeps, I've recently upgraded my pc with the idea that I will create a hackintosh that runs Mountain Lion, and have tried to buy compatible hardware. With the Mountain Lion release date soon, I guess I could have waited another 10 days or so to find out exactly what would work. But I'm inpatient. After reading around, I determined that the Gigabyte GA-Z77X-UD5H would be a pretty compatible motherboard (Doesn't even need a DSDT for sleep/reboot etc) along with the new Ivy Bridge i7 3770 (And integrated Intel HD4000 graphics). I will run it with the HD4000 to begin with, but I would like to upgrade and get a supported graphics card for my three monitors. So here's my base components: - GA-Z77X-UD5H - i7 3770 - 16GB G-Skill 1600 ram - 120GB Vertex 3 SSD Install I found this great guide by Lofen here that I pretty much followed. 1. Download the MtnLion Installer Kit ver 1.0.zip from here 2. Open the mkboot script and uncomment the Realtek ALC889a installation, Power Management plist, AppleRTCpatch.txt, and the Realtek NIC pkg 3. Open the finalize script and uncomment the same things as above. 4. Copy the install folder to your desktop, along with the installESD.dmg (From the ML app/download) 5. Format your 8GB+ USB/HDD to GUID, HFS+ and name it 'ML' 6. Open a terminal at your desktop and run 'sudo install/mkboot /Volumes/ML' and watch the show/make a cup of tea, this amazing script will do all the work (20 minutes or so) 7. Once that completed successfully, boot it and the Mac OSX Mountain Lion installer should appear, follow the instructions and install 8. Once complete, restart and boot off of the install USB/HDD again, we need to open terminal and run the './finalize' command to install the bootloader+extras on the main 9. With a little luck, we should be booting into a fresh installation of Mountain Lion! At this point, it will look a bit {censored}, No Sound, No HD4000 acceleration, No network. But not to fear. Network + Sound Pretty simple, probably not the best way to do it, but I downloaded the latest Multi Be ast (4.6.1) and check the following: Full QE/CI HD4000 Support I found this awesome thread by proteinshake that describes a way to get the HD4000 working properly here. I'm sure you can play around with DSDT's or some other method, but I managed to create myself an EFI String that I put in my org.chameleon.Boot.plist's device-properties. This excellent post details on how to find your own EFI String OR you could try the one I generated (same as someone else's in that thread) <key>device-properties</key> <string>8800000001000000010000007c0000000200000002010c00d041030a000000000101060000027fff0400100000006d006f00640065006c0000001a000000496e74656c20484420477261706869637320343030302c0000004100410050004c002c00690067002d0070006c006100740066006f0072006d002d006900640000000800000005006201</string> The Problems - The sound quality is average, no DD/DTS streams out of Optical, only stereo. Front and rear mic's work, two outputs on the back work (and a line in?) as well as Optical Out. If anyone has a better method of getting the Realtek 898 to work, please comment! - I've only managed to get one display running off of the HD4000 so far. UPDATE: (I've now added an ATI5850 and can run two off the card, and one off of the internal HD4000, the HD5850 was plug and play, worked OTB) - Forward and Back buttons on my mouse don't work! (Razer DeathAdder) Help!?1 Hope this helps someone, and no doubt, in the next month or so more things will become working as more people get Mountain Lion when it gets released. Cheers. 1. Fixed this by installing the OSX Razer driver and assigning the CMD+[, CMD+] keyboard hotkeys to each mouse button.

    Sierra on Dell Inspiron 15z

Hello all, I am attempting to install my first Hackintosh, and I am encountering significant issues. Currently, I am able to get to the installation screen but disk utility does not recognize (either of) my hard disks. Additionally, my touchpad and keyboard do not work (though my touchscreen does). Here are my specs: System Board: Dell 0knvcw CPU: intel core-i7 3517U (Ivy Bridge) @1.9 gHz turbo @2.8 GHz Graphics: Intel HD 4000, Discrete Nvidia GeForce GT 630M SLI Disabled Storage: 500 GB Western Digital WDC WD5000LPVT-75G33T0 HDD, 250 GB Samsung SSD 850 EVO mSATA (Intel RST mode on BIOS-possibly the source of the problem) (I am trying to install to the HDD, currently in GUID mode with a windows installation on a ~200 GB partition) Clover 3974 Boot flags: -v Kexts: Just FakeSMC and VoodooPS2Controller by RehabMan (located at Clover/kexts/10.12) config.plist From RehabMan for HD Graphics 1366x768 I'm a newbie, so if anyone has a possible solution, please be clear on how to do it (i.e. LMK if it's a boot flag, a change to a kext or a change in a .plist). Thank you!!
  10. Hello, just tested the mach_kernel (Darwin Kernel Version 11.4.2) from a new Generation MacBook Air (MacBookAir5,1) on my Intel Core i7 3770K iCloud works just fine now. So if you can get the Kernel from somewhere, just try it. Just wanted to say: Ohhh Yeah!
  11. Hi guys, First of all: Sorry for my english. I decided to install Mavericks on my notebook, HP Sleekbook b040sl. Here are the specs: CPU: Intel i5 3317U Chipset: HM77 Express Graphics: Nvidia GT 630M (That can't work), Intel HD 4000 WLAN: Qualcomm atheros ar9485 Touchpad: Synaptics I've upgraded RAM from 4 to 8GB. More specs at http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/document?cc=it&lc=it&dlc=it&tmp_geoLoc=true&docname=c03565612 I want to install OS X 1.9 on a 30GB MBR partition on my original HDD with W8.1 with a bootloader. I am reading guides, googling, but I want to know the best guide for installing OSX and I think that is the all-in-one in tutorials section. I know that Nvidia won't work. Another question: is there any kext or others methods to make ar9485 work? Thank you guys. I've a virtualized iAtkos ML with VMWARE for doing mac things.

    Configurazione prestante/compatibile?

Salve a tutti,ho preparato questa configurazione con l'intenzione di installarci 10.8.3 dato che la gtx650 dovrebbe essere riconosciuta nativamente. Cosa ne pensate? E che metodo di installazione mi consigliate? Vi ringrazio
  13. I have noticed that there not many guides out there for installing Mountain Lion on Intel HM 77 chipset laptops. So I thought of sharing my experience on Installing ML on my HP Sleekbook 15t (b001-ee). Hardware Specs: BIOS Manufacturer: Insyde. BIOS Type: UEFI - LOCKED (with support for legacy boot) Core i3 3217U @ 1.8 Ghz (2 Cores, 4 threads) 4GB Samsung DDR3 1600 RAID 500 GB HDD IDT High Definition Audio Atheros Bluetooth (Device ID: 0311f) Atheros AR9565 NVIDIA OPTIMUS (Geforce GT 630m - PCIe + Intel HD 4000 - Built In) Realtek RTL 8101E/8102E Ethernet What Works? Proper Detection Of CPU, RAM USB 2.0 and 3.0 Ethernet (recognized as RTL 8169) Intel HD 4000 Graphics (Quartz Extreme and Core Image Enabled) Bluetooth Trackpad IDT High Definition Audio (recognized as Intel HDA) Battery What does not work? NVIDIA Optimus Brightness keys (works only at boot) WIFI - Im using a micro Wifi USB from a manufacturer called 'Tenda' it uses Realtek RT2870 USB chip, this same chip is found on the more popular WIFI stick from D-Link (DWA-125). Latest drivers are readily available from the realtek website, I got usb from a shop near my place for $10, it might be even more cheaper online Booting OSx without USB - I need myself some guidance, because I have tried using clover to boot but it does not work at all unfortunately Installation: What do you need: > A Mac or a computer with Mac OSx 10.6.8 or Higher (a Virtual Machine is fine too, I installed using a VMware image of 10.8.3, google souldevteam for more details) > 8 GB USB > Retail DVD or copy of Mountain Lion What does Mac OSx need to prepare USB ML Installer? > Latest version of myHack app - myHack | Taking the iFail out of iHack - SojuGarden > Latest version of Chameleon Wizard -Hackintosh Chameleon Wizard 4.2.1 - Downloads - OSx86.net >Kext Wizard - Hackintosh Kext Wizard 3.7.10 - Downloads - OSx86.net What does the target laptop needs to be running? >The computer should already be running a windows OS at least with windows running on separate partition (It should se a GUID partition) OR a separate Hard Disk (recommended) > Windows OS should have MacDrive installed (trial version will do fine) Preparing ML USB: >Mount USB >Run myHack app, run "Create Mac Osx Installer" choose 10.8, select target your mounted USB now browse through the computer and select the Mountain Lion dmg/iso (InstallESD) or if its an app browse to your applications folder to find the installer. The copying process may take around 40 mins. The app may also ask to create Extra folder, just select generic >After the process is done, install extensions which I have attached using kext wizard on the USB choosing S/L/E folder to install. Delete Browse to S/L/E on the usb and delete AppleHDA kext, Repair permissions and rebuild caches using the same app. P.S. I didn't have a problem with getting my internal drives detected by the installer, but if you do come across a similar issue download the AHCI kexts I have attached and install along with the extensions files mentioned earlier. UPDATE: Added alternate AHCI and USB kext (which works for HP ENVY Sleekbook 6-1151er) - credit transmist >Launch Chameleon Wizard, install latest bootloader to your ML USB, select boothfs option not update. >In Chameleon Wizard app, goto Smbios tab, edit the smbios file and from the model presets choose Macbook Pro 9.2 and save the file to desktop >Copy smbios file from desktop and paste it to your Extra folder on your ML USB. Installing on target laptop >Go to BIOS, disable secure boot it might ask you for password. Enable Legacy Boot. Configure Boot Order to prioritize USB. Or using F9 key at boot which will allow you to choose USB >Boot from usb >Once at the bootloader screen, boot the installer using the following flags -v cpus=1 GraphicsEnabler=No >You should now be at the install screen >Goto disk utility and create GPT/GUID partition >Continue and install Mac OSx. Should take 15-20 mins >Near the end of installation myHack will ask for adding Extra folder again, install generic if you had not done this before or this time just choose the one you modified earlier in your USB, then later it will ask for removal of some kexts (ApplePolicyControl, NVD*** kexts) just select to remove them. >Once its done, restart and now boot into windows and access the ML drive where you just installed the OSx (as mentioned earlier, you should have MacDrive to view OSx drives) >Browse to System/Library/Extensions folder and delete the following kexts: AppleHDA, all AppleIntelHDGraphics4000 kexts, geforce kext, all GF*** kexts, all NVD*** kexts >Restart and boot from USB >Launch the installer again using the same boot flags as mentioned earlier >From Utilities run myHack and then run Myfix. This will fix permissions from the files you deleted using windows >Restart again and boot from USB >Now boot the Mac Osx drive, using same boot flags >If all went accordingly you should now have successfully booted to your Mountain Lion Post-Installation For this part you need to download the following: >10.8.3 Combo update OS X Mountain Lion Update v10.8.3 (Combo) - Support - Apple >Multi beest - Mountain Lion (http://www.tonymacx8...m/downloads.php - You need to be registered user to download) >Kernel Patch to fix all cores (cpus=1 issue) (check attachments) >Ethernet driver (check attachments) Your current Mountain Lion version is 10.8 download 10.8.3 Combo update from Apple website and install. DO NOT click restart just yet though. >Browse to System/Library/Extensions folder and delete the following kexts: AppleHDA, geforce kext, all GF*** kexts, all NVD*** kexts >Install the extensions that I provided again using Kext Wizard >Run Multi-beest, Expand Drivers & Bootloader>Misc> and select USB 3.0 Universal and PS/2 and install >Install Ethernet driver RTGNIC >Install Kernel Patch >Fix permissions using kext wizard and restart >Boot from USB >Now you can boot into your ML without any boot flags, you may use -v for debug or -f or -x if for some reason it fails to boot Latest version of chameleon bootloader will auto inject your HD 4000 graphics info and you should have QE/CI working Pls do share your experiences and help improve this guide for others THANKS! 14. The macOS Sierra was released yesterday, I installed it on a USB hard drive to test with all my Laptops. This one is i5-3317u HD4000 platform. - Use bootdiskutility to create clover folder and partition for 8GB flash drive. UEFI Clover 3761 - Extract and restore the base system to USB hard drive. - Voodoo 2.8.8 for Audio. - Ethernet RT8111. - patch clover for BCM94352 dual band wifi and BT4.0 with handoffs to work. - USBInjectAll.kext for booting from USB (kexts/10.12). - Use Trackpad.Preference.pane from El Capitan for the trackad.preference.pane to work. 15. Hi, I am following this guide : http://tonymacx86.bl...ac-os-x-on.html to install snow leopard on my ivy bridge core i5. I am also using the i boot disk for ivy bridge. So I boot from the i boot disk and then put the mac install disk in, it loads but then freezes at the part where it is telling you to put the batteries inside the magic mouse : it just gets stuck there and for some reason, my trackpad and keyboard does not work after the i boot screen. i am using a samsung series 9 laptop np900x3c-ao1 with intel hd 4000 and core i5 processor.

  19. Hi All, So after several different Hackintosh computers I'm at my latest. Shame it seems I've forgotten most of what I've learned before, but I'm up for more learning! Well the computer at hand, was up for a good price in the UK, all things considered it should hopefully work out after rebate at £375 but I digress as this topic is about getting Mountain Lion on the device. As you can see from my signature I'm not new to this, having a few computers which have been tinkered with over the years. Hopefully the experts, amateurs and the other lurkers will help me into getting mountain lion installed and fully functional on this Samsung Ultrabook. I've tried all the available options on the IntelHD platform ID (from 0-9 and AB) but am unsuccessful. On one of them, string no 3 I believe and Graphics enabler off I get full QE/CI on my HDMI connected monitor but my internal laptop screen is blank/black. b)If I boot from the HD, the trackpad doesn't work. After finally getting a unibe@st installer working, I can boot from it and select it to boot the HD then the trackpad works. c)USB ports don't work aswell as a whole lot of other stuff. If someone could please assist me in helping to fix this laptop I would really appreciate it. Also I'm trying to get back into editing my DSDT, but I'm failing miserably so help is appreciated! As far as I can understand the spec is very similar to the ASUS UX32VD. Thanks in advance for help received. Sam Samsung dsdt.aml.zip Atheros AR5B195 pack.zip
  20. Hi All, I've got successfully up and running my hackintosh(using ######/###### method) My build is working well except one thing, my cpu power management not working properly i've installed HWMonitor using FakeSMC and HWMonitor shows only those speeds 1600MHz,1700MHz,1800MHz,1900MHz,2000MHz, and 3700MHz and i never saw any other speed (between those speeds) I do not use any DSDT or SSDT (im running Mountain lion 10.8.2.installed 10.8.0 and later updated to 10.8.1 and after 10.8.2 power management problem was all three versions) and when i boot in verbose mode i saw a log saying some thing like that "power management may be incomplete or unsupported" These is my hardware specs ================== Gigabyte GA Z77Z-UD3H intel 3770K corsair vengeance 8GB WD blue 500GB im using Integrated HD 4000 Graphics my ###### setup is attached VoodooHDA VT2021 make some random kp, so i've tried, it worked perfectly without single kp.
